Guest guest
Hello all I was on Darvon for pain. The FDA has pulled it any form if it from the market. This put me in a very sticky situation. I am allergic to Loratab, Vicodin, Oxycontin, Percocet, etc. I become violently sick and praise the porcelain god. I tried tramadol and Tylenol 3 with no results. With research on both my doc and me we decided methadone would be worth a try. WOW!! does it really work!! Now I know every drug acts different with each person, but if you find yourself in the same situation I was in, here is something to talk to your doc about. in MN
Guest guest
Hi Marie.....I was on darvocet but now have an appt in January with my rheumy. when I see him, I'll ask about another comparable med for darvocet. I do have some tramadol my pcp gave me (50mg) but only a few till I see my rheumy. Glad the methadone works for you. I am sure my dr will try me on oxycodone or something else similar. glad you found something you weren't allergic too. Hugs..a In a message dated 12/15/2010 11:35:17 A.M. Guest guest
Oh how I wish I could try that but I am one of the few who can't. So far I've managed to keep my part-time job of driving a dump truck. I'm in a consortium for drug testing. Methadone is one of the drugs that cannot be in your system and still be legal to drive. My rheumy just took me off my Orencia infusions and put me on Diclofenac. Think I spelled that right. It's a strong NSAID. That one has side effects- gas, constipation, gas, diarrhea, did I mention gas? I drove my kids out of the living room last night because of it! Anyway, I'm so glad that you ARE able to tolerate it and that it is helping you! Merry Christmas! Dalanne Cold mooshy nasty east-central IL > > Hello all > > I was on Darvon for pain.
