Hi PW:

I have had 3 surgeries, 2 total knee replacemnts, and a total hip

replacement.  I did just fine, and healed wonderfully with no problems.  My

surgeon was worried about my recovery and RA, but I am a very good healier,

thank God.  Everyone is different, and I was very lucky.

Have a great recovery, and I hope you heal good too.  Also, welcome to

our great group.

Hugs,

Barbara

I Have tested positive for Rheumatoid Arthritis 2 years ago. I'm 58 years old.

I'm having breast reduction surgery in May and I'm wondering should I have this

surgery with RA. Will RA cause complications.

Thank you.

Welcome! And congrats on your upcoming surgery. I hear it is worth every penny

in terms of reducing neck and back pain, being able

To exercise etc. I know RA pts who had joint replacement and just timed the

surgery toward the end of a biologic dose so they weren't immune suppressed

going in to the procedure. Kate f
