My shots are a single shot every 2 weeks. My shipment finally got here at

about 6 PM, on another day of over 100* temps and dry as a bone. I opened

the box as soon as I could and it was getting warm. I think it'll be good

for tomorrow. I also hope I can notice a difference after taking it this

short time.

Hi Dennis,

You don't get a very big supply at a time, do you? I get a 102-day

supply of Enbrel at a time; from now on, it will be a 90-day supply.

They set up the day for it to arrive so that I'll be sure to be at

home. They really pack it well. Inside the cardboard box is a

styrofoam box with a lid. Inside that are lots of ice packs. I have it

so that I have to sign for it so that it won't be sitting out in the

sun without my knowledge.

I hope that Humira works as well for you as Enbrel does for me. Good

luck!

Hi Dennis...my Humira is shipped 4 pre-filled syringes at a time (4 weeks

worth). My medical supplier says that while it is expected for the cooling

packs in the styrofoam box with the meds may NOT still be cool to the touch when

I receive it, the Humira should NEVER be shipped over a weekend or holiday,

should be shipped the day it is to be received, should be in a cooled-heat

resident package, and should NEVER be left outside or in the heat. If any of

those conditions are an issue, please talk to your medication supplier. It is

TOO important to your health and TOO expensive to be shipped improperly.

All the best...

I appreciate that, Barbara. The last few days I've been more pain-free than

before, so I'm hoping it will continue. We'll see as time goes on.

No, Sue, I only get 2 shot pens at a time. My insurance will only supply a

'specialty med' a month at a time. That means that I will spend one day each

month waiting for the UPS truck to bring it. I guess that's not too bad, but

I was going to do a lot in town today. Oh, well, it was too hot anyhow. 15

days of 100+ degrees so far!!
