Guest guest
-----Original Message-----Date: Sunday, September 17, 2000 2:02 PM My importance in life is that I am a caregiver for my 71 yr old wife Alice. she was diagnosed with Parkinsons some 8 yrs ago. In feb.99 . while in Hospital she was diagnosed with SDS. Along with every thing else she is blind,{macula Degeneration}. She has most of the classical SDS symptons,, BP Problems, Halucinations from medications, frequently passes out when standing, Frequent UTI, bowel movement problems etc. Inspite of all of this, she has a great sense of humour. Except for a few steps to the bathroom,[ occasionally resulting in weak spells or passing out] she is confined to bed , the couch in the den, or a wheel chair..Medication consists of; sinemet cr 200/50 [3per day], florinef .1 mg [4 per day], fluoxetine 20 mg [1 per day]. pms soflax 100 mg[2 per day]. I have a helper for 2 hrs a day which allows me go for a walk ,shop or do some work around the house. Hope this information might be of help to those who asked me for further information.
