Great info ! Never heard if that drug but will certainly ask about it. Although

my RA is in remission, RA drugs do nothing for OA! Thanks again for that info !

physician about Norco. Norco is the same ingredient except it has lower amount

of aceteminophen (tylenol). The reason I think this might be important is many

of us are on RA meds that are damaging to our liver, and aceteminophen is toxic

to the liver in constant and high amounts. You should be sure you never go over

4 grams (4,000 mg) in a 24 hour period. The Norco has same amounts of

hydrocodone so 5mg or 10mg. Just wanting to perserve some livers out there. I

am fortunate that I can manage with ibuprofen for now and only rarely need to

go to the higher dose medications. Hope everyone is doing well

The lower dose will be all you can get in the near future as the FDA

is no longer going to allow prescription drugs to container 500mg

doses of tylenol.

Thanks Dale...the hydrocodone I rcvd has 500 tylenol and I didn't want it

that high. I will ask about NORCO when I need to get a refill. I only

take maybe one or two a day. BUT I like the idea of NORCO having less

tylenol.

thank you for that great advice.

Good info, Dale Ellen. Mine is generic, called Hydroco/apap but is 10-325,

the same as Norco. When it was prescribed after heart surgery, the

acetaminophen amount was taken into account. I only take 4 on a normal day,

so I guess I'm safe.

I just saw on the news tonight a segment about acetaminophen. People

sometimes take too much because they're just not aware that some

medications contain it. I guess that's why the FDA is taking this

action. They said that acetaminophen is the No. 1 cause of liver

failure.
