Again, I am getting complaints about members who don't trim their posts.

mscured has a rule which requires ALL members to trim posts to the list.

Trimming a post means to remove most of the post to which you are replying.

Example.. when you " Reply " to any post you should delete everything except

the 2- 5 sentences of the original post which relates to what you are

saying. It is acceptable to to clip bits and pieces from the original post

if you want to use them for reference.

It is NOT acceptable to send the entire original post -- or in many cases a

line of old posts--to the list along with your response.

Trimming has NOTHING to do with how long YOUR post is.. write a whole book

if you want.. just make sure to remove the PREVIOUS posts from the bottom of

yours.

Trimming posts is the standard for most email lists, and it is considered

rude not to trim posts. Please.. Please.. PLEASE trim your posts. Thank

you.

If members do not start trimming posts, I will have to go back to putting

the " non-trimmers " on moderated status. You will stay on moderated until I

see that you are consistantly trimming posts. I will not send you a private

warning that you've been put on moderated, and I will probably not respond

to emails complaining that you've been moderated. I will respond to a

discussion of the issue, just not complaining or arguing over it.

I am telling you now - Trim your posts. That is the rule. Please follow it

or be moderated.

ly, I don't want to do that, because it makes a lot more work for me,

and my schedule is already overflowing. But if I gotta, then I gotta.

I also want to remind everyone that this is an alternative medicine list.

Discussions defending allopathic drugs are really not appropriate here.

Those conversations should occur offlist, privately between members. The

reasoning is that many members feel bullied or alienated by the standard

allopathic system. Everyone tries to tell us how wonderful allopathic drugs

are, when, in fact, most here feel they are akin to poison. (no warnings,

here... just a friendly reminder of the scope of this list).

instead of clogging the list with them.
