Guest guest
Ter... when God made mother's He knew kids would always be loved, no matter what. Even when they grow up. One of my favorite little writings is: First you give them Roots, And then you give them Wings. I love that. Maybe God knows we mama's can give Wings but we will be flying close by! heeehe I think you would like volunteering for Hospice. Some years back I did and I really enjoyed it. You aren't on the other side yet....are you able to do volunteer work? Mama-Sher, age 69. IPF 3-06, OR. Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! [Norton AntiSpam] Re: K/ Brett Hi Brett, Thanks for the empathy for my son. It just kills me that he has allowed anger to get in the way. I guess we all deal differently. For me, this life is just a stop over. I know most of the people in the group are Christians, but I am a Buddhist. It is a lay organization and the philosophy is beautiful and chanting keeps me focused and without fear. In fact, I've never been afraid since the first day of my diagnosis! Could just be who I am, or my Buddhist practice. Doesn't matter which. Having a sense of humor makes the day much better then fear ever could! later, Terrybrett bowser <brettvectordist> wrote: Im so sorry to hear about your son terry it sure sounds like you have a great attitude though always upbeat and cheerful keep it up Brett Bowser familial UIP/IPF 11/07 40 Mi. Hi Peggy, Got a lot going on! Just think , if we only had to worry about our health, how much easier this would be . We've got bills, family, not to mention misinformation! What a world. I called the Ins co and got them to reverse a decision and shocked myself. From all I had ever heard, that was tough. Took one call and got what I wanted. Remember, I was not only a Paramedic, I was also a car salesman! LOL And a damn good one. I used to beat the guys numbers. Yet, I was so honest, that my old customers still call me to help them get a good deal. A few months ago, I saved someone $8000.00 between the car and their trade! I hope I can find a way to help this mess. I don't fret about it, because just about everyone has something. Before this, my 34 yr old son was diagnosed with MS and believe me, that was 10 X's worse then this. Not much they can do for him either, but like I tell him, giving up, or giving in, is not an option! Sorry for rambling. Thanks for asking. Love ya, Ter Peggy <pac1773cfl (DOT) rr.com> wrote: Terry, I think you are doing great. We do know how things go with this stupid disease. It is so hard sometimes to say what is our experience because we are all so different. But we all do know prednisone does NOTHING for IPF... Some Doctors give it in an attempt to let us think it is at lease something. I see that over and over. Well prednisone nearly killed me and Is one of the reason I opted not to try for a transplant. I could cry at the drop of a hat to think of all I went through because of that drug.. On the other side of that is that it is a wonderful drug for infections. so each one should talk to there Dr. to see just what it is going to do for them. Sorry I didn't mean to get on my kick..LOL Take Care of You. Are you doing ok? Love and Prayers, Peggy Florida, ipf 6/04 Worry looks around. Sorry looks back, Faith looks up. Hi , Just checking to see how you're doing today! I'm sure yesterday was overwhelming with all the responses, but you will never feel alone again! You will sort out what you need from this group. I sure can't keep up like the Pro's yet! There when you need me, TerryTerry Pennisi 11/07 IPF Nevada Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search.
