Hi OKD - my best advise to you would be to contact your doctor. The most

important thing I've found in managing this disease is keeping in close contact

with your PC and/or Rheumatologist. They are the best ones to help you handle

any need for immediate relief. They are also the ones that would need to know

specifics about how you're feeling in order to properly treat you. I would not

recommend self-medicating or self-adjusting the prescribed meds that you have.

If something is not working, the doctor needs to know so they can make any

necessary adjustments. Its also important for them to know of any new symptoms

you may be having as some of us have more than one illness we are dealing with.

For example, I have RA and Fibromyalgia and the treatment is different for each.

Best of luck to you.....Doreen :)

So in reading all of these replies, there is really nothing one can do to

immediately relief the burning of the flares. The pain, I understand can be

relieved right away, but not the burning....
