vicodin and generic

Being a nurse I just wanted to put this out there.  I understand folks need pain

medication.  I would suggest folks on vicodin or generic to ask their physician

about Norco.  Norco is the same ingredient except it has lower amount of

aceteminophen (tylenol).  The reason I think this might be important is many of

us are on RA meds that are damaging to our liver, and aceteminophen is toxic to

the liver in constant and high amounts.  You should be sure you never go over 4

grams (4,000 mg) in a 24 hour period.  The Norco has same amounts of hydrocodone

so 5mg or 10mg.  Just wanting to perserve some livers out there.  I am fortunate

that I can manage with ibuprofen  for now and only rarely need to go to the

higher dose medications.  Hope everyone is doing well
