Guest guest
Hi everyone, I saw a neat scooter called a knee scooter: http://www.amazon.com/MEDLINE-WALKER-WEIGHT-CAPACITY-BURGUNDY/dp/B001EXCLAY/ref=\ \ pd_sbs_hpc_10 I had an ankle injury 6 weeks ago(I just stood up on it and injured my peroneal tendon pretty badly) and still am unable to walk even 200 feet. I am wondering if anyone has tried this type of device and found it helpful. I don't understand why it cost $300 (slightly less used) when you can get a regular scooter for $30 except that somebody thinks they can make some money off of people. I would really like to be able to get around easier but I hate using any of the traditional mobility devices(wheelchair, scooter, walker) because of my age and wanting to fit in with my other 20 year old friends. My friends all have passes to a local theme park and I have a pass as well. They keep asking me to go but there is a lot of walking and I thought there is no way I could go unless I was in a wheelchair but if I got this then I could go. Guest guest
Hi ,  Thanks for posting this link. I have never seen anything like this. I WANT one! I too have had to forego events where there was a lot of walking involved. I can't afford the traditional scooter and modifications to my van to haul it around. This would be perfect!  Sorry I can't tell you anything about it but I'm pumped to know this option exists Sheryl From: <cntrygrlrak@...> Subject: [ ] Knee Scooter Date: Thursday, May 13, 2010, 2:38 PM  Hi everyone, I saw a neat scooter called a knee scooter: http://www.amazon. com/MEDLINE- WALKER-WEIGHT- CAPACITY- BURGUNDY/ dp/B001EXCLAY/ ref=\ pd_sbs_hpc_10 I had an ankle injury 6 weeks ago(I just stood up on it and injured my peroneal tendon pretty badly) and still am unable to walk even 200 feet. Guest guest
I rented one of these from a medical supply house. It's cheaper if you need it for a short time. Jere
