Guest guest
Ruby, I did not do well on Avonex or Betaseron. I am taking Copaxone. I have joined this group to learn more about other methods of managing MS and it's lousy symptoms. DS > > I know this group promotes natural healing. One of the members introduced me to a forum called this is MS. I saw many people post horrible experiences after getting Avenox injections. I wonder how are you managing your symptoms without those toxic drugs? Are you on any medication at all? > > Thanks, > > Ruby >
Guest guest
Hi Ruby I was on Avonex - it seemed to make things a whole lot worse. This has since been shown as a real possibility for some in recent studies in the US. I now have bad intramuscular scarring in my thighs - so bad that leaning on my lap causes pain and my cat no longer has a lap to sleep on due to the pain it causes for me. I stopped having the injections about 2 years ago. I am now on the BBD (Best Bet Diet) and supplements. I do a detox every 3 months and stay on raw food for the month that I do my detoxes. It has helped me very much. I hope this helps you with finding what will work for you. 'What we do in life, echoes through eternity.' MARCUS AURELIUS (121 - 180 A.D.) To: mscured From: dsuzannew@... Guest guest
Hi all, If you havent already, try Vitamin D. I was on Copaxone for a year, became violently allergic, and stopped, so for the past year I have not been on any MS drugs. I decreased dairy foods, and am taking Vits B, C, D, E. Found out I was deficient in Vitamin D. For the past 3 months, I have been taking 3000 IU Vitamin D daily. Amazingly, at my last neuro exam, the Babinksi reflex was gone (I assume this means there has been a big improvement in neuron function). I also think my symptoms are a bit milder. I have heard there are clinical trials now for Vitamin D therapy for MS. Hope this helps, swamiV. > > > > I know this group promotes natural healing.
