Guest guest
Hi All, Recently we had a thread going re; flu shots. I came across this article today. It seems that people who had regular flu shots were more likely to get the swine flu. Interesting reading. In the end, the author recommends optimizing your Vit D levels to prevent getting sick w/the flu. Since low Vit D levels are associated w/RA (and many other things), it's probably a good idea for people w/RA to keep track of their Vit D levels. This may be standard procedure for all RA patients, I don't know. Just thought I'd post this link as an FYI; http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/05/01/regular-flu-vaccin\ e-actually-increases-risk-of-swine-flu.aspx Sheryl

Guest guest
It's a good reminder. I am so lazy about taking my extra D or even calcium+D.
