Fosamax and jawbones?

When I had the bone scan to see if cancer had moved into my bones,

particular attention was paid to the left side of my face. An extra scan was

made only of the face but I haven't gotten a satisfactory explanation or

excuse from anybody. I did run across a bit of info about Fosamax lawsuits

because of damage to jawbones. I have had to get some teeth pulled in the

recent past and was asked while making the bone scans if I had dental work

done, but they were careful not to say anything about it. My Rheumy is mad

at me for stopping taking Fosamax until I can find out something less

evasive, but I think I have a legitimate concern. What do you girls know

about it? Because of all the things that have happened during the last year,

I'm pretty depressed and may not be making good decisions right now.

That reminds me, I was taking Amitriptyline but noticed I was having heart

problems tied to taking that med at bedtime. My heart would skip regularly,

sometimes painfully, when I would lie down. It started with a rhythm of

about 7 beats and a skip, and progressed over time to only 1 beat and a

skip. That's when I stopped taking it, and most of the skipping has stopped,

but the depression is deeper. I'm supposed to try Cymbalta and hope it's

better for me. OK, I quit for now...
