That is wonderful news about your dad!  I know first hand that family politics

can be SOOOO frustrating and it is hard when you can't be there yourself.

Hopefully, you will be able to talk to your father soon yourself. I will keep

praying for a speedy recovery for him!

Hello, group, I just wanted to give the latest update on my Dad's heart

surgery.  I'm really aggravated b/c my 22 year old brother is my only contact on

site and he's doing a crummy job of relaying information.  I tried to reach him

today starting at 7am and at 1030 he texted me saying that he had just woken

up.  Grrrr. . .  They made the first incision at 5pm yesterday.  The procedure

went until just before midnight.  He's awake this morning and the doctors are

pleased.  I wish I knew more.  I wish I was there.  I hate how this kind of

thing makes you frantic with worry and then angry about all the family

politics.  Thank you so much for your prayers and support, Kate F

Hi Kate:  I am so happy your father is doing good.  That is the best news yet.

I will continue to keep him and you in my prayers.  Hugs to both of you.

Dear - I know how hard and frustrating these miles are on you. Praise

God that your Dad seems to be doing well. How awesome that he is awake this

morning and the doctors are pleased. Seems like the surgery was a success. Is he

well enough for a phone call? I bet he'd love to hear from you. I know how

family politics really suck. For now, just give all the praise and glory to God

for having seen your father through this all. Hang in there..... Doreen :)

had his surgery yesterday! Everything went well. It was about 7 hours

that he was in there total, and was able to hold him for about 20 minutes

before he went in. He is very swollen, but he is doing good. His vitals are

staying steady, which is a good sign.

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes! Michele ( 22, spondy)

I am sure you are breathing some sighs of relief after the surgery. Not only

are you there concerned for that baby but also for your daughter. It is hard to

watch our kids go through such tough times. You have done enough of that with

but it does not get any easier. Prayers will continue for him as he

recovers and for the doctors, mom & dad and grandma. Do they know how long he

should have to stay in the hospital? It is always nice to have a tentative time

line at least.
