Hi Coetta,

I think it's Synovial. Nodules are built with synovial fluid that hardens.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I thought I had one on my elbow, and I

remember that is what my rheumy told me.

I have two nodules on each of 7 fingers. They hurt and itch.

Cold weather is particularly painful.

I know of no solution.

You actually have Dr. House as your doctor? Incredible! No, I'm just

kidding; I know it's not the one on TV.

I really do have Dr. House for my doc. He is my Family Doc. He is a wonderful

Doctor. He has helped my husband and I so much. I am thankful for him. He has

MS, and has had it for about 7 years. When he told me I was so upset. My worries

of losing him, I truly trust him and have faith in him. I know, I was being

selfish. I don't mean to. I have never really trusted a doctor until him. He

knew this wasn't all in my head. And when my husband got injured at work,

crushed his foot and ankle. Three months later he developed blood clots and they

went to his lungs. Then work comp docs took him off coumadin , and he got

another clot in the other leg. Dr. House (our Family Doctor) did some special

tests, I just knew work comp docs were going to let my husband die. And I truly

believe that if we hadn't had our family doc monoriting him in the background ,

behind the work comp docs, my husband would have died. Dr. House found out my

husband had a hereditary blood

disorder called factor five leiden. But it was never active until he got hurt

at work. He was 41 years old. Now he has to take coumadin for the rest of his

life. He is getting ready for shoulder surgery on Tuesday. He is on Lovenox

shots right now. Everyone , please keep us in your prayers.

Thank you all so much for your replies on the nodule on the fingers. They can

sure be some painful little burgers to be so tiny.

                                             God Bless you all, Coetta

So it sounds as if your Dr. House is a Superdoc, too. You're lucky to

have him.

Yes, we are. I wish everyone had a doc they can trust and believe in. The good

Lord knows with these diseases we all need one.

Hi Coetta:

I will definately pray for your husband that his surgery goes well, and

that he has a complete recovery.

I will also pray that you will be pain free. God Bless you both.

Hugs,

---Hi everyone,

Do these bumps come and go? Or, do they stay a while or permanently? I ask

because

this sounds very much like the bumps I frequently get on my index finger that is

the size

of a mid sized pimple, it hurts more than is tender. I always called them nerve

bumps for

lack of a real cause or wordage. They last for a week or so, then disappear and

return

again at random times. Does this sound anything like what you are talking

about?

Thanks and take care,

Les

My nodules have never left. They just seem to calcify more until they feel like

bone.

This is the first time I have ever gotten them. I know if I am doing something

and touch it just right it is painful. It is so small to be that painful. It is

a sudden sharp pain.

I had a rheumatoid nodule removed from the bottom of my foot about 10

years ago. The pathology came back as RA, but I never tested

positive for the blood work. The pain and swelling came back about 5

years ago. Last year at this time I could not walk, put on a shoe or

even drive! The RA has spread, and I was finally lucky enough to get

a dr who did more bloodwork, and the diagnosis of RA.

The nodule was very painful! F.

Coetta and group;

Coetta it is good to hear you have a doctor you can trust. Not that

all doctors are un-trustworthy lol. Sorry to hear your hubby has

blood clot problems that is so very scary.

I watch the show Dr House. I love that show. The guy that plays Dr

house is a real Jerk. If I had a medical problem I would want him to

be my doctor if he was a real doctor that is. I know you have a real

doctor name House but not same guy lol.

I hope you can get rid of those nodules. I will remeber to keep you

and your hubby in my prayers God bless and take care.

gentle hugs

Clora
