Way behind... Feeling effects of going off Arava

Hello everyone and WELCOME new members! Sorry that this %$*( illness has brought

you here, though! Grrrr! My name is Kami... 39 years young.... Been dealing with

RA diagnosis for 18 months now however had signs of it 10 years prior. I live in

PA with my ever so patient hubby and 2 kidlets. My daughter, age 15, was

diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis in February of this year. While I think at

times how much this sucks for me, I cannot even begin to fathom what she is

going through. She finished her freshman year of HS on homebound education. We

are hoping to have her inflammation under control so that she can resume her

sophomore year in school. (Fingers legs toes eyes crossed!)

In one of my last posts, I wrote about how I had developed a throat infection

from h%!! and that I had to go off my RA meds for the 2 weeks of antibiotics

plus a week in case I were to come down with a rebound infection. Well... I did

not wait that long to resume Humira. I resumed it the Saturday following my last

antibiotic. What I did not resume was the Arava. Bah. I am obviously feeling the

effects of it now, too. Or it's the weather. Or it's a combo of the two. Part of

me is scared to resume it due to how difficult it was to treat the infection I

had as well as not missing the bathroom issues. ;-) The other part of me

says.... I am an IDIOT. I obviously had something that was working and this is

my payback. Either way.... I see my doctor in 3 weeks and am going to hold off

on the Arava and see what he says. Yes, I could call him but I almost feel as if

I need to " experiment " . Plus, as I have said before, I DO NOT miss the bathroom

issues. Tomorrow I inject my Humira. Maybe things will get better!

So anyway... Just wanted to post and complain a bit to those who understand.

Right now every stinking lil joint in my feet hurt! It's rainy and miserable and

I have my winter jammies and bedroom slippers on! I dread the thought of having

to go out ANYWHERE today!
