Guest guest
Hello, Before I was ever put on my first diet at the age of 12 or 13 I was a normal, healthy child with normal eating: if I was hungry I ate; if I was not I didn't and I ate what I wanted when I wanted. I've gained and lost weight so much over the years that someone close to me made a joke of the compacting/expanding girl. I was startled to learn this yo- yo dieting could do serious damage like causing a stroke. Then I happened upon this book, which I'm now reading for the second time since starting it earlier this year. I'm a work in progress and have had some successes. One thing is for sure I now realize when I'm not hungry and I know when I'm full but with not being able to deal with my emotions I still overeat and eat when I'm not hungry. I'm trying different ways to cope but have not found that one thing that will make me go the opposite direction from the cupboard. Thanks for listening, J.
