Guest guest
It may be one contributing factor for some people but I do not think so in my case . I eat a lot of carrots, squash ,yellow and red bell peppers and many more red/orange/yellow fruits and vegetables and on top mostly raw. Cheers, Doug Dry eyes For those of you that said you suffered with dry eyes. I have just read that can be caused by a Vit A deficiency. Guest guest
I had dry in both eyes. That is why I went to the doctor in the first place. He said that dry eyes are one of the symptoms of Hypothyroidism. Other symptoms are, Dry skin, hair loss, etc. It helped me when I put cucumber on my eyes. When I took my meds it got better. Guest guest
Not so weird I have that problem also when I am undertreated on my meds. I had to use special contacts and put droppers in my eyes. -- In hypothyroidism , " Bagley " <tiredgirl50@...> wrote: > > > wow, that's really weird; never heard of that associated with low > thyroid before; i know my eyes were too wet for awhile there and not > from crying. > > > > My left eye keeps getting dry. Guest guest
When I was a child (many years ago) whenever one of us would get sick, the first thing my mother did was get the castor oil bottle out. The castor oil stimulated bowel action to remove the toxins - something people with disease should do periodically. Hot castor oil liver packs used at least three days in a row, are said to be a good way to stimulate and help detox the liver. I've used them but prefer to do a good liver/gallbladder cleanse. Guest guest
hi again Another thing I do is take that Liveraid-you can get it at walmart the cheapest-whenever I take only 2 a day, my liver enzymes in my bloodtests are always good-when I ran out once, it made a difference.......I am on 10 mg of methotrexate-if anyone is on more, maybe you would have to take more-I am not even taking the full recommended dose of liveraid-I think it's by Liverite. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you have any thoughts about this, Bee? ==>Hi . I'm short on time right now but you can get candida in your eyes and also candida contributes to dry eyes; do a search on my website for Eyes where you'll find natural treatments. You can also massage tear ducts to help unplug them. I had terrible eye problems during my candida cure and it lastest for about 3 months. > Luv, Bee
Guest guest
Yes, I started having this problem when I was detoxing more and had to stop wearing my contacts. I'm wearing glasses nowadays so I'm not sure how well I would tolerate contacts now, but my eyes had issues for about four months, and now they are clearer then ever! Guest guest
Thanks, Bee. I'll take a look at the articles. And thanks for sharing your experience, Debby. Even though I KNOW I'm supposed to expect die-off symptoms, I still feel a little like I'm just falling apart and going cuckoo (I'm on Day 21: full diet, full supplements, 4-6 tbs VCO p/d, Pau D'arco tea...no serious anti-fungals yet, no probiotics yet). It definitely helps me feel sane to hear your (and others') experiences. Thank you for sharing. During those four months, what kind of issues were you having in your eyes? > > Yes, I started having this problem when I was detoxing > more and had to stop wearing my contacts. I'd wake up in the morning with my eyes stuck shut with the gunk. I had to wash my eyes before I could open them. It was horrible. I applied tea bags and rinsed my eyes with powdered nystatin mixed in water. I had to stop wearing contact lenses like Debby, and I haven't worn them since then. Guest guest
Well my eyes got really bloodshot, dry and painful, to the point where I couldn't wear my contacts. I went to 3 different eye doctors because I hate wearing my glasses, and none of them could figure out what was wrong. They gave me eye drops and ointments and nothing worked. They told me I had scratches on my eyes, and they said usually those healed up in a matter of days and they couldn't understand why my eyes were having isues. They told me I had developed chronic dry eyes and that I'd have to use lubricating eye drops several times a day for the rest of my life. Well my eyes cleared up on their own, and I don't use any eye drops or get irritations at all, but I haven't gone back to contacts. I'm wearing the glasses now because later this year I'm going to get Lasik and I don't want to risk irritating my eyes, although the glasses drive me nuts! Guest guest
Hi Anne, I had problems with my eyes earlier this year, they were sore and bloodshot on waking. Still not sure what the issue was, but it got better as my adrenals were treated - in my case by increasing my hydro cortisone.
