I hope you appreciate that this e-mail group was never intended to

satisfy everyone that signs on. I would like to make a suggestion that if you

disagree with something, simply respond with your reasons why and let everyone

else choose for themselves. I will cease on this subject at this time as it

appears to be of no further purpose except to upset you.

I will add, however, you complained earlier that everything useful was

either too expensive or difficult to obtain. Now I see you saying that you

prefer to go with the more expensive modalities. That is your choice. It all

boils down to what ever you can put your faith in. Your faith appears to be

quite limited, yet you continue to tune into alternative ways of healing. My

question to you is, what exactly is your purpose in being a part of this

group? Are you looking for alternative possibilities or are you here simply

to antagonize the group?

Thank you for your reply. Although I would have preferred you sending your

questions and concerns to me via private email I'll be happy to reply.

My interest here is, as you say, to understand and personally evaluate

alternative forms of healing.

You will notice that I have NOT replied to ideas, thoughts, suggestions of

various forms of healing/treatment etc. that may or may not be effective or

efficacious. What you have seen me query are situations where claims were

made for somewhat obscure treatments - in those cases I merely asked if

reasonable and statistically reliable studies were done, by who and what the

results were. You surely don't object to someone saying " The success or

failure of this treatment/system/cure may or may not save my life or that of

a loved one. Could you please give me a little more detail about why you

feel it works? " . If you object to someone raising legitimate questions like

those then you have no reasonable and scientific basis upon which to claim

effectiveness of any cures. And, from what I've read/seen - that's what

almost all of the people who profess to have these cures/systems really want

- to be seen as legitimate and to be taken seriously.

What comments I have made in opposition to anything posted have been

corrections of fact. For example, I have NOT commented on or corrected any

FACTS about the Gerson therapy or Budwig (and, if you will notice, it was me

who posted the web site for Budwig without any comment at all....) because I

am not familiar enough with them to intelligently comment. The comments that

I did make - for example about activated charcoal are comments that detail

information found in any organic chemistry book, in any poison control

manual, etc. These are not anecdotal stories but chemically proven facts

about how the process works. Basic science. The statements about how it

picks up toxins are just plain wrong. Since I assume that everyone on here

wants to find out what's true - I'm sure you would agree that correcting

factually incorrect information is important. You may, after all, bet your

LIFE or the life of a loved one on what you read here, right? Then don't you

agree what you read here should be factual and TRUE? Otherwise, all you have

here are interesting comments much to the tune of " ...and all you have to do

is put a cow pie on your head and you'll grow hair..... " that are worthless

and may even be damaging.

Lastly, it sounds like the main person being antagonized is you. Apparently

you feel as though you are spokesperson for the group, and indeed you may be

and I may not be aware of it. But, please note that in all my emails both

public and private I have never disparaged anyone, accused anyone of

anything negative, nor told anyone that whatever their beliefs or ideas they

shouldn't post them for all to see. I have not disparaged anyone, called

anyone a quack, made any references of negative sort. My only posts were of

the tone " ...hmmmm interesting, but got any proof for that...??? " . I wasn't

aware that differing opinions here were forbidden. It's quite ironic, that

people who claim to have differing and contrary systems of healing/curing

seem to be always saying that they are always not taken seriously and that

they can indeed prove that their systems are legitimate and valid, but when

someone like me says " well, Ok, just show me... " suddenly I have an

" antagonistic attitude " . Have I been hitting a sore spot perhaps with asking

for proof? You say that the AMA, the allopaths, the drug cartel etc. has

been trying to suppress what's right and what works and what's legit by

being antagonistic and disparaging and telling you that you should be quiet

- that you can't stand the light of scrutiny? Gee, that sounds like what

you're saying to me doesn't it? Do certain peoples opinions and ideas have

legitimacy only because they agree with yours? I would have thought that you

could be more open to correcting errors of fact.

But, I'm sure that the members of this group are reasonable adults who can

think for themselves. I have confidence that they can separarate the " wheat

from the chaff " and can judge for themselves. If they care enough they are

intelligent enough to check stuff out - go and look in a library to find out

about activated carbon, for example, and then make up their own mind. I'm

sure that they can read what I post and think " Hmmmm...that guy is dead

wrong " and go with it just as they can say " Hmmmmm that Joan is dead wrong "

and go with it. I certainly don't object to that - do you?

If you feel a need to suppress peoples beliefs and opinions, then don't

complain about yours being suppressed. Free speech is free speech - as long

as it isn't degrading or insulting - whether or not we like what's being

said.

Attention Cancer Victims:

I have been monitoring this cancer forum for some time now and have

I give my mother 10 mg. of C vitamin a day. Thats what your body can take

from your stomach. It is very good combined with chemio and radio. I also

give her K3 Vitamin and B6 vitamin.

My dad is taking all of those, in smaller dosages though, except copper.

You might want to do some research on copper. It is my understanding that

copper is a contaminant that doesn't belong in your body. Every thing

else seems to be all right.
