Any help here? : ) I'm not sure but I don't think comparing the dosages is relevant to how strong a medication is or isn't or if it'll work or not when it's different medications you're comparing. But that's just my thoughts. I do believe that I heard of mobic, but can't remember why. As far as Celebrex. I began taking that when it first came out so I had nothing to compare it to as I was newly diagnosed. Changed insurances a few years after that and they put me on vioxx and that didn't do diddly and then that was taken off the market. They put me back on celebrex since the vioxx was no longer available and the co-pay was outrageous. I ran out of celebrex because of finances and someone suggested night-time extra strength tylenol or their equivalent and incredibly that with my pain pill works just about as well as the celebrex and it's not as bad for my body so I have been on that for a couple of years now. Good luck with the band, oops the mopic. Carole in Hollywood FL **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Watch " Cooking with Tyler Florence " on AOL Food. Guest guest
To be more precise,it is actually the generic Meloxicam Mobic, but in the same family as Advil unless it is combined with another ingredient. It is an NSAID for inflammation. It can sometimes be combined like (Ibuprofen + Oxycodone for Combunox). At any rate I can't take it because it interferes with my Coumadin (Blood thinner) I have to take. Tichenor
Guest guest
My rheumy has added Meloxicam to my regimen. I have looked at drug interactions and nothing showed as far as anti-depressants or eye meds for glaucoma. Pharmacist said she knew of no interactions. Have any of you with glaucoma had any side effects such as elevated pressures? I have already been told to watch for BP, renal, liver, and stomach issues. Thanks!
