Guest guest
Hi : I wonder if you could call your Rheumy and see if they have any emergency appointments available. Or maybe if you call and tell them just how bad you are, they can get you in sooner on the stand by list. It is just torture to wait so long for an appt. and be suffering so much. I wonder if you went to your E.R. that they could get a Rheumy to see you, or at least, get you on some stronger, better drugs, and perhaps some Prednisone, either in shot form or pills. You sure need something done now. Wishing you pain free days ahead, and that you feel better soon. I won't be in to see the rheumatologist until May 11th, although I am on the list to call if I can get in sooner. It is more than likely RA, as I was diagnosed JRA as a teen. (Been symptom free until last year for about 3 years.) In any case, I have had a lot of pain and swelling lately even on an NSAID. I can't wear my wedding ring because it won't go on in the morning and if I can get it on half-way through the day, it won't come off at night. I swell a whole lot over night. Anyhow, between the swelling and the daily pain, I am at a loss as to what I should do. My PCP won't prescribe anything but an NSAID. Is there anything else I can do to help with the pain and swelling? I can't wait for my rhuemy appointment, May can't get here fast enough. Any ideas, please let me know. Thanks. > > >
Guest guest
Thanks Barbara. I will try once again when I go to the PCP on Friday. Maybe, just maybe he'll give me something else to go with it. I'm praying he does as tow months is still a ways out, but closer than the 33 I started with. Just taking it one day at a time. Take care. -- In , " Barbara " <bcreedon@...> wrote: > > > Hi : > > I wonder if you could call your Rheumy and see if they have any > emergency appointments available. Guest guest
Hi : I hope your PCP visit goes good this week, and you get some much needed help with your pain and suffering. It is very hard to take day after day. It makes me crazy, to say the least. Wishing you pain free days ahead. Guest guest
Thanks, that was 3 months, not 33. :-) I'll let you know how it goes. > > > > > > > > > Hi : > > > > > > I wonder if you could call your Rheumy and see if they have any > > > emergency appointments available.
