Guest guest
Thanks for input, y'all. Unfortunately I can't use Borates (or any powder) like I want as the husband is asthmatic and we have cats. Before using Onslaught on the carpets I tried FleaBusters several times. Other than irritating the husband's lungs, we observed no effect. For some reason our real trouble spot is the wood floors. At least I can saturate the carpet with Onslaught and it works for quite a while. It leaves a dull, nasty film on the wood, though. > > > > > > > > From: Tasha Woods <tashawoods93@> > > > > bird mites > > > > Subject: scared > > > > Date: Tue, 24 Mar 2009 07:29:04 -0700 (PDT) > > > > > > > > I was talking about my bug issue with the girlfriend last night and she convinced me to take a sample to be studied. Guest guest
I sure like the idea of spraying H202 instead of poisons, but I'm afraid it will discolor stuff I can't afford to replace, like the expensive wood floors. Do you mix it with anything or just spray straight? How did you initially bring down the numbers of your infestation to a more livable level? Yeah, it's frustrating when the husband isn't much affected. Either women just complain more or there really is something go on here. I'm surprised the possible hormonal equation is never addressed anywhere. Guest guest
i think most of us stopped caring about what happens to our furniture or home ;-) I think Holly said H2O2 didn't fade her furniture or curtains. I've sprayed some H2O2 mixed w/ essential oils w/ the trijet fogger. havent' really noticed any discoloration. I'm sure if you blast it full strength and let it sit, it will fade just like how if you rub in Tide full strength and let it sit, it'll create spots on your clothes (that's why mama taught me to always let the washer agitate the detergent first before dumping in clothes - of course all those steps went out the window after I got this LOL) > > > > > > > > > > From: Tasha Woods <tashawoods93@> > > > > > bird mites > > > > > Subject: scared > > > > > Date: Tue, 24 Mar 2009 07:29:04 -0700 (PDT) > > > > > > > > > > I was talking about my bug issue with the girlfriend last night and she convinced me to take a sample to be studied. Guest guest
The only thing that got " discolored " was my hair. I don't have hardwood floors, but my furniture is dark wood, and no problem there. One thing I read recently is that orange oil shouldn't be mixed with peroxide - probably applies to other oils, too. I think the peroxide may destroy some aspect(s) of the oil. Guest guest
Thanks for the info, Bessie. When I wash the floor I usually throw in some orange oil so will avoid mixing the two. Maybe I should try a little patch test first and see what happens. The H202 did a number on my hair too! I switched to vinegar (which works better on my hair for some reason) but it still manages to bleach it out. Guest guest
Yes, it is indeed hell. But I did look kind of pretty with red, then blond hair! I don't spray anymore, though, and it is all grown out. I really pray that all of us can get real answers before long. It is beyond cruel and unconscionable that the CDC continues to stall on the results of their study. Guest guest
Actually, after a quick google for "mixing chemical cleaners h2o2 peroxide orange oil," it seems at a quick glance to be perfectly fine to mix the Hwto be sure. I found several websites discussing the use of citrus oil plus H2o2 cleaners. This one explains best: Cleanlink: Oxygen, Citrus, Soy: Bio-based Cleaning Productshttp://www.cleanlink.com/cp/article/Oxygen-Citrus-Soy-Biobased-Cleaning-Products--4539says " ....Surfactants and orange oil are added to the hydrogen peroxide to help it penetrate the surface and reach the embedded soil... So, GOOD, we can keep using two of our long-term favorite, powerful cleaners together. Got to do something with all that Orange Plus I bought! katie > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > From: Tasha Woods <tashawoods93@>> > > > > > > > bird mites > > > > > > > > Subject: scared> > > > > > > > Date: Tue, 24 Mar 2009 07:29:04 -0700 (PDT)> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I was talking about my bug issue with the girlfriend last night and she convinced me to take a sample to be studied. Guest guest
Hi Bobby, thanks for your wonderful suggestions. While I'd prefer to embrace a wholistic protocol exclusively, I'm SO worn out from the constant cleaning in this huge freakin' house. Physically, I fear I'm too frail to take this monster on without a boost. Even my treadmill workouts are waning under the brunt of this Hell. If we ever move it will be into a hobbit house with stone floors and walls - not wood! I would love to blow DE and other dusts all over but hubby is asthmatic, hence my current proclivity toward residual chemical applications. Mind you, I've gone out of my way to avoid chemicals all my life, until now. I already know Onslaught will take care of the carpets. If anyone knows of an effective, residual chemical I can douse this wood floor with I'm all ears. Or, let me know which chemical products you had no success with so that I may avoid them. Guest guest
JS, thanks for your reply, I did not think anyone noticed my dilemma as posted. NO, I do not consider myself as having lost all dignity, just merely applied strategy applied by going to the source, the delusional route all exosed, yet leaving DOUBT, to be continued in the partial hospitialization program starting next week for 4 weeks, including research and up close and personal, my time to present in detail and given opportunities.. Besides it got me off the streets and car residency for a spell, eating and sleeping well and interacting with fellow suffering human beeings.I neglected my established protocols, under automatic suicide prevention protocol, so all got locked up including all my potions etc., so now I am playing catch-up and it is working, I got the numbers down for starters. I am in combat mode again, this time in smart mode or so I hope, I feel re-empowered actually, gaining dignity, addressing my infestation hell issues, 1. I am convinced that I am waLKING fungal ball 2.my life has reached chaotic proportions on all levels, financiallly and otherwise and everything b/c of these demons 3. I could not find the black light stick at Walmart, got a bulb instead and use it in my current hotel room and it works great, they hate that light 4. my pH levels are normalizing thanks to my regimen of all the things used by people in this forum , I also treat my skin, my increasing more and more waxed or shaved skin with tolnaftate cream, alternating with varioius essential oils the usual suspects mentioned in this forum in an organic body lotion, I spray my hair with the lice control salon repellent spray, btw, there are those lice control salons here in california, though, they could not find anything on my hair, duh, my kind of critters are deeply imbedded into my scalp and scraping they do not go for.... 5. about to gear up, to pay cash for a derm scraping or pay one of those MD students in my therapy sessions to spend some time with me...LOL to finally find an end to the repeated saying: " how come you can see them and no one else," b/c my eyes got trained to notice this ongoing activity for over a year, while near and mere momentarly bystander would never really noticed, lest the hover around me for a while.I am absolultly certain. 6,I have a deep seated nest of sort, rigfht underneath my left pinky finger, I can see one lodged, the sourrounding area is indurated, hardened, almost like wood, callous, the base of pinky finger is almost dead, contractred, I have nerve damage and quite localized and it pains to bend my pinky finger, the other fingers exept my index and thumb is unaffected, when I apply iodine and expose to direct sunlight, I see gzillion rise up from the base of my pinky finger I am tired right now but confident in finding a solution again...........besides I got to prepare my dead sea and himalayan salt bath plus others goodies..... speaking of which, Trish, are you there,,,,,? So, I was able to hold on to my bar lotion in a can, they can was not allowed in my psych ward, however, since so many of co inmates, commented on how good I smelled, I started to share some of the bar lotion with them, treating their acne or other skin ailments (drug induced thought skin alteration I was believed)....after one night of dabbing on a tiny bit of my/Trish's bar lotion, this people all came back the NEXT day, saying and showing are all there 'blemishes' dissappeared, and they want MORE., yes More...they all have my email and more to follow soon...from non mite sufferes no less, as far as I/we know..:0 Please bear with me, I certainly appreciate this forum so much and all your support and guidelines has helped me tremendiously, I would like to follow JW posts quite a bit....very interesting, Marguerite From: katiejill109 <kajay109 (DOT) com>Subject: Re: scaredbird mitesDate: Wednesday, March 25, 2009, 6:27 PM Laz,While I am not sure that this is exactly what is happening, it certainlydoes open a new train of thought for me.katie> > >> > > I was talking about my bug issue with the girlfriend last nightand> she convinced me to take a sample to be studied. Guest guest
Yes i sprayed it straight, and it didnt discolor anything except our hair. lol... Also ran it in a vaporizer. It is non toxic. Guest guest
M- I would recommend for you to get a vaporizer or humidifier from a drugstore (cheap) and a bunch of bottles of peroxide. Run peroxide straight in your hotel rooms 24/7. It will help you immensly, as i feel you have a similar infestation to what i had/have. Also try to find a local gym that has a (dry heat)sauna, and spend as much time in it as possible(30 min intervals 2x a day), being careful to spray (spray bottle with peroxied) anywhere you or your things touch in the locker room. You do not have to spray in the sauna. You will start to see improvement pretty quickly. Best of Luck Holly > > > > > > > > I was talking about my bug issue with the girlfriend last night > and > > she convinced me to take a sample to be studied. Guest guest
When I spray w/ the fogger, it does bother my eyes and sinuses. Afterall, it is H2O2. It's not a long lasting effect though. Holly I happen to already have a vaporizer but it's the type that heats up water, not a cold one. So I see steam coming out of it but I'm not sure if heat would turn H2O2 into something else, and if it did, I'm just wasting my time. > > > > > > > > > > > > From: Tasha Woods <tashawoods93@> > > > > > > bird mites > > > > > > Subject: scared > > > > > > Date: Tue, 24 Mar 2009 07:29:04 -0700 (PDT) > > > > > > > > > > > > I was talking about my bug issue with the girlfriend last night and she convinced me to take a sample to be studied. Guest guest
Kixx, are you using the respirator and eye protection when you are spraying. It's a good idea to always wear them for everything you spray, even if you think it's safe, and to leave for a while afterwards. b > > > > > > > > > > > > > > From: Tasha Woods <tashawoods93@> > > > > > > > bird mites > > > > > > > Subject: scared > > > > > > > Date: Tue, 24 Mar 2009 07:29:04 -0700 (PDT) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I was talking about my bug issue with the girlfriend last night and she convinced me to take a sample to be studied. Guest guest
Dangers: Breathing preoxide, it bleaches...right ..? www. atsdr. cdc. gov /MHMI /mmg174. html excerpt: Vapors, mists, or aerosols of hydrogen peroxide can cause upper airway irritation, inflammation of the nose, hoarseness, shortness of breath, and a sensation of burning or tightness in the chest. Exposure to high concentrations can result in severe mucosal congestion of the trachea and bronchi and delayed accumulation of fluid in the lungs. Children may be more vulnerable to corrosive agents than adults because of the relatively smaller diameter of their airways. Children may be more vulnerable because of relatively increased minute ventilation per kg and failure to evacuate an area promptly when exposed. Guest guest
Thanks Holly. I'll go ahead and give it a go and report back. I certainly like the haphazard aspect of it, as I'm not one to measure and such. I hope you managed to get your friend's defectors off of your person! Keep your distance from that guy. It's not worth infecting you or your precious child. Guest guest
Not too sure about that. Vaporizers are pretty cheap. I didnt use mine all that much because my husband was complaining about his hair, so i stopped, but i kept getting better. I think it only takes once or so to clear the mites out of the air. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > From: Tasha Woods <tashawoods93@> > > > > > > > bird mites > > > > > > > Subject: scared > > > > > > > Date: Tue, 24 Mar 2009 07:29:04 -0700 (PDT) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I was talking about my bug issue with the girlfriend last night and she convinced me to take a sample to be studied.
