Guest guest
Zena, I found the original picture of Super O. There have been other incarnations and variations complete w/ her as my sidekick, but this is the original. Like I said it's complete w/ " O " on the chest, hair blowing in the wind, the cape and the cannula. I posted a new album w/ it just now. I finally gave in a asked for a disabled placard not even a year ago and used to have a problem using it, now I use it any time I can. I would only use it when I had to walk really, really far or going into the YMCA because as funny as that sounds that's when I needed it. I would be so winded getting into class I wasn't ready to do class. It was especially odd when not only did I get out and look the picture of health in my workout clothes, but was driving my husbands car that has a triathlon license plate frame (Swim/Bike/Run). My husband said only once I got the O2 did people quit w/ the dirty looks. I'm sorting things out in this " journey " , that's my new perspective. I have a lot of sorting out to do, but strangely some things do seem to be falling into place. Figuring things out myself and communicating them to my children is all an ongoing part of it. Funny and embarrassing that while on this topic... I have been very proud of myself lately for many little victories. I feel like I'm learning, growing and hopefully making some improvements in areas I need to improve in and then just when I have been patting myself on the back I got into a little tif w/ my Dad tonight about his complaints to the waiter at dinner. At the time I got annoyed so I decided a little timeout would do me good. I went to the bathroom. Then he kept on and kept on. And while I tried to hold my tongue for the most part I think during dinner I did say please stop. I thought okay, I survived it then back at the homestead hours later he had to make yet another comment and I let him have it. I started out trying to just speak w/out being my normal emotional self and then it went downhill. Talk about clearing the room. My husband went to bed, my father went to the other room, my sister went down to her house and I decided to get caught up online. I am my father's daughter and because we are sooo much alike we drive eachother crazy and the curse of I hope you have a child just like you is my darling daughter... she is me! Anyway, 1 small step forward and a fall off the wagon. The journey continues. Anyway, thanks for your input, support and understanding, Kerry 37 IPF '01 S.
