Guest guest
Hi Sue; I am starting Enbrel in about a week. I was on humirra injections. My rheumy said the humirra wasn't working. I been taking it for a long time. I thought the humirra worked since it stopped the pain. My RA said my blood test had a low count of the RA. I forget what it's called, She said mine was a 4 and normal was 18. Sue I haven't had bad severe pain from RA for a long time. I had to quit sulvazaline and plaqunil because I became allergic to it. So basically I was only getting Injections for the RA. I am hoping it is going into recession. My rhuemy gave me some darvacet pain pills to take for pain. I don't need it half the time. Sue I still have pain but not like it was. I also have flare ups from time to time. I would like information about enbrel also. Yeast infections. Ugh I get them so easy. Yes, antibiotics will cause yeast infections, so when I get antibiotic, I get the yeast medication too. Haven't had a yeast infection since the last time I took antibiotics. I am so glad you brought this up. If anyone takes Enbrell please give us info on it. I am interest in anything anyone has to say on the subject of Enbrell God bless, I care, Clora : Today I called my PCP and told her that I still had the vaginal infection. I told her that I thought it was a yeast infection, even though the culture did not show yeast. I pointed out that the infection did get better after using Monistat and taking Diflucan. I told her that candiasis was one of the side effects of Enbrel, and that I would like to try something stronger than the OTC Monistat that I had already used, something like Terconazole. So what did she do? She called in a prescription for Metronidazole Vaginal, which is for antibiotic infections! And of course one side effect of that is a yeast infection! So what should I do? I'm going on a bus trip tomorrow, and I certainly don't want to make the situation worse than it already is. Advice needed! Sue
