Guest guest
, I would think your doctor would taper you off the Prozac slowly. You have been on it a long time, and I don't think that would be a good idea. I was also on prozac for a time, and I would slowly go off it. I am on neurontin for neuropathy pain, but I've heard it helps fibro too. I do have fibro, and I still have the pain. But, I've been on it for awhile, I am going to try Lyrica, if the doc agrees on the next visit. It needs to help my neuropathy pain though, because its very bad in my leg. It really DOES help that pain, love it for that. If you have any problems going off the prozac, please contact your doctor right away. It was just a part of life. I've been in an awful flare for 3 weeks now so I went in today to see the doc. He threw me a curve! He took me off Prozac (which I'm scared about) and put me on Savella, which is brand new and Neurontin, along with Seroquel XR which I had started 2 months ago. I am scared about the new meds because I don't ever want to get depressed like I was before Prozac again. Has anyone tried Savella or neurontin for Fibromyalgia? Have a good day! >
