Guest guest
I have been battling boil-like painful pustules for over a year now. Finally got in to see a dermatologist only to be diagnosed with Folliculitis caused by a MRSA that is resistant to Keflex. That is funny because I'm allergic to Keflex. The dermatologist prescribed a Benzo-Perox wash and long term Bactrim. This might have ended well except the pharmacist had not dealt with this lotion before and told me she thought it was to be applied AFTER a shower. I wondered why it was so stinking thick then. After 2 weeks of this I developed the itchiest rash I've ever had (worse than poison ivy!) where I've been applying this lotion. I quit using the lotion at that point. Got back in to see the dermologist yesterday....and....the lotion was to be used as a SOAP IN THE SHOWER!!! Just another day in my life. So now I have ANOTHER lotion that I'm supposed to put on this stupid rash which has now spread around my belly to the point that I look like a red & white Belted Galloway cow! Wonderful. So now I'm applying the anti-rash ointment then Eucerin Calming lotion and Eucerin moisturizing creme everywhere else because he said my skin is extremely dry and that was why the rash got started. Has anyone else dealt with this? Is there anything else besides that " Calming Lotion " (it is an oatmeal based concoction) that will help with this itching? When it starts I look like a dog with lots of fleas going crazy. Will taking Benedryl help? I'd take up heavy drinking at this point if it'd help!!
