Like a " Real Woman " I have taken the opportunity to buy new shoes because as it happens to be - I don't own higher heeled shoes. Well, make that a didn't own. I found some killer shoes that are completely matching my style and of course couldn't stop at one pair but baught another color today, after I stopped myself yesterday to sleep it over for a night. Luckily I saved some money during my stay abroad and blew a part of it up for shoes *hides bill from husband*[1]. Regards s. [1] Yes, I know that I " shouldn't " have spent so much money on shoes when there are bills to pay and everything but I fell in love with them, it was money I have earned and saved and I felt like I deserved a treat for working hard during the last year and now being so miserable because of my tendon AND the upcoming exam. Say no to a bad conscience. Even though 400 Euro are a lot of money *cough cough*.

Guest guest
If you consider that those shoes are a 'medical' expense, I bet you could have easily justified such a cost. Think of these shoes as prosthetics that look GOOD and you enjoy wearing :) PS those must be SOME SHOES to have cost that much! But you saved the money and you are worth what you say you are ;-) Heal that heel in style gal!! grins :) Katcha > > > Having to wear high heels doesn't sound like too bad a treatment > > considering alternatives like surgery? > > Like a " Real Woman " I have taken the opportunity to buy new shoes > because as it happens to be - I don't own higher heeled shoes. Think of these shoes as > prosthetics that look GOOD and you enjoy wearing :) LOL. That's exactly how I look at it now to soothe my bad conscience (that I have of course despite it all, grr). > PS those must be SOME SHOES to have cost that much! But you saved the > money and you are worth what you say you are ;-) Pst - it wasn't only one pair and I also decided that I need " some shoes for autumn as well " now that I'm " at the store anyway " . Don't tell anyone, lol. And I also finally gave in to the peer pressure at the hospital and got myself some crocs. The costs of those are included. :-D I just realized that I usually buy really cheap stuff (pants, shirts, etc.) - but when it comes to shoes, it's really different. Regards s. PS: Got a bit sore on my little toes from walking around in those shoes. Not that I didn't expect it or something...
Guest guest
Dammit! Even though I'm wearing higher-heeled shoes it doesn't seem to get better. The whole area feels weird. Got myself another appointment at the GP tomorrow. Alas, the doctor who saw me on Tuesday will not be available until Monday again. I made the appointment but said that I will maybe cancel it tomorrow morning if things are at least not getting worse because it doesn't seem to make much sense to go to a doctor who hasn't seen me on Tuesday and therefore isn't able to compare the situation. I think I will simply wait and see how's it going until tomorrow morning. Maybe it's just feeling weird because I'm not used to walk around in heeled shoes and of course I did walk around the house quite a bit yesterday since it didn't hurt at my heel... I think it's simply not possible to walk around much (even though I'm not wearing flat shoes) and it seems to be too early to start stretching the muscle again. Unfortunately I have to go shopping for groceries today and I can't tell hubby to do it because he's gone until Sunday evening. I feel that the pain always got better after walking around a bit which gives me hope that it may still be acute and not chronic (yes, I'm trying to convince myself here, but not doing a very good job...) which gives hope that it will be alright again. Regards s. PS: Yes, I'm really doing a bad job in trying to convince myself that everything will be alright again.
Guest guest
Oh Styxia! I so know how it feels when you are caught in the immediate moment of the pain, discomfort and inconvenience too! Wishing you better SOON and that which ever doctor you go to finds and helps you right away too. ehugs, Katcha > > Dammit! > > Even though I'm wearing higher-heeled shoes it doesn't seem to get > better.
