Simponi or Cimzia user info.

Hi All--Constant reader and sometimes responder here with a question. I have

been on Enbrel and MTX combo for 4 1/2 yrs. now . I have been having increased

fatigue and joint pain for about 3 mo. My Rheum. has tested me for all tick

born diseases--still pending results. She also put me on 20 mg. prednisone for

one week and told me to call her one week after finishing with my results. It

has been 5 days since stopping the prednisone( which took about 4 days to make a

difference; then day 5-8 I felt better than I have in over 10 yrs.)

My hands are just starting to get more clumsy and slightly painful, and

tonite left hip pain is returning--otherwise i still feel bette

r.

If I decide it's time to change her first thoughts are Simponi or Cimzia.

Would love to hear how anyone who has or is taking either one has done after

failing Enbrel and Humira. Of course a drug change at this level is always

scary---what if I have a bad reaction, what if it doesn't work even as well as

the Enbrel , etc etc.

Also, is it unusual for the prednisone to still be making a difference?
