Raniolo From: tdianaok <tdianaok@...> Subject: [ ] Went to the doc Date: Tuesday, July 21, 2009, 11:08 PM Hi, I went to my primary doctor today, and good news! My blood pressure is back to normal:) The doctor was amazed!! So, I am now off bp meds, hopefully for good. I've been eating better, and have lost a little weight, so not sure if that helped. I'm going to walk tomorrow, so wish me luck. I will start slow of course, just need to be more active, since I'm feeling better. Take advantage of it while I can. My dog will love me,....... Guest guest
(((((Tawny))))) That's wonderful news!! I'm sure that eating better and losing a bit of weight is exactly what helped to get your blood pressure back down to normal. I pray you are able to keep it down so you won't have to go back on the BP meds. How wonderful that you're feeling up to walking now, too! It is good to start out slow and I'm sure your dog is going to be in heaven and so excited to go with you!! Take care. Be safe. Enjoy this newly emerging Tawny! Guest guest
Hi Tawny: So happy that your B.P. is fine, and that you are feeling so much better. Finally some good things happening to you. I am also happy you can start walking again each day. Before I was hit with RA, I walked everyday no matter what, 4-5 miles each day. It is so hot here I haven't done any here. Also, before when my feet and ankles were so bad, I couldn't even try. Since I have recovered from my new knee, and I am in a remission, I am going to start walking in the evening. My P.T. therapist told me to start with just 5 min., and do that for a few days, then increase my time slowly. So, I will see how I do. I have missed my walking so very much. I am also decreasing my Pred. I have gone from 10mg. a day, to 5 mg. So far so good. I will stay at this dose for a few weeks, then decrease slowly again. My Rheumy thought it was a good time to try again while I am in this remission. I am so happy that your health is doing so much better, and I can hear the happiness in your post. You so deserve it as you have been through so much this last year. Your dog will be smiling on your walk!!!! Wishing you continued good health, and pain free days ahead. Hugs to you my friend, Barbara > > > From: tdianaok tdianaok@... > Subject: [ ] Went to the doc > > Date: Tuesday, July 21, 2009, 11:08 PM > > > > > > > Hi, > > I went to my primary doctor today, and good news! Guest guest
Hey Doreen, I walked today!!! I'm so proud of myself, and feeling ok right now. You know its been so long to be able to do something I love. The right meds, have given me some good days, and I will take them. I'm very excited on the blood pressure. It's been high for the last few years, and I've worked hard the last few months. I have always been a popaholic, and I have completly given it up. I drink water all the time now, and it doesn't bother me at all. So, I'm getting there, just slowly. I don't eat as much, just not into food much anymore, which is a good thing. It's just so hard to lose weight, being in my chair. The dog had a ball this morning!! Were going to try it three times a week, so he will be trimming his waist also, lol Its time for you now to feel better. I do believe it will happen, and very soon. I know the stress of your disability is on your mind right now, and I will continue to pray for all things to be positive in your life right now. Take care my dear friend, and know you are amazing, Tawny > > (((((Tawny))))) That's wonderful news!! Guest guest
Barbara, Glad you will be able to start walking again. The mornings are best for me, the air is just so fresh and cool. I live on 40 acres though:) I will say, I come in the house, take a shower, and go back to bed. I know, but at least I rest well after. It is nice to be able to do things again. I'm wondering if my RA isn't in remission. The thing is when I go to the rheumy, my joints are always swollen. I do have pain, but the pain is tolerable, know what I mean? I've just had severe pain for so long, the little pain I can live with right now. I just need a change, even if it's for just awhile. I've been in the house for so long, I just get tired. I know everyone can relate to this. I am so proud of you on the prednisone. You have come a long way baby!!! If we could throw a party on the group, I would sure give you one. You are a survivor of so many things. No one can ever say your not strong. You can move mountains. I'm so happy about the blood pressure, and one less pill. This is what I've been trying to do, I'm tired of all these pills. So, thanks for the wonderful email to keep me going. Take care, and know your in my prayers, Tawny > > > Hi Tawny: So happy that your B.P. is fine, and that you are feeling so > much better. Guest guest
Tawny, congratulations on the walking, the weight loss, and the lowered blood pressure. It's about time you had something positive happening. Here's hoping that it continues. Sue On Jul 22, 2009, at 7:36 PM, tdianaok wrote: > > I walked today!!! Guest guest
Hi Tawny: It is so wonderful that you are finally feeling so good. Yes, we do get tired of being in the house so much. Glad you are getting out, and enjoying your life finally. I know what you mean about pills. Such a good feeling to get rid of one, instead of adding more to the regime. My cabinet is just full of my meds. Looks like the drug store!!!!!! So far so good decreasing my Pred. I still take one day at a time. It will be interesting to see if this time I can get off it. Time will tell. I never thought of myself as a strong person, but I guess I am. Thank God that I am. It has been a tough year, but I feel better and better each day. It does take time to heal. Isn't that the truth!!!! I am so happy that you are happy and feeling so good. I am smiling as I write to you. Enjoy each moment, it is a wonderful gift. You so deserve it Tawny. Hugs to you, Barbara > > > > > > Hi Tawny: So happy that your B.P. is fine, and that you are feeling so > > much better. Guest guest
Barbara, It does take time to heal physically and mentally. You just keep doing what your doing. I am having dental problems, and so I'm not able to eat much. I guess that's good though, lol I am a little sore, having some neck pain. I have DDD,(degenerative disc disease), and so it flares up more then it should. I'll just keeping going, that is all we can do. You have a great and safe weekend, Tawny > > > Hi Tawny: It is so wonderful that you are finally feeling so good. > Yes, we do get tired of being in the house so much. Guest guest
Oh barbara, Dental pain is horrid. I had very extensive dental work done in Hungary. I saved more than 20k. It was completed in 5 days with general anesthesia. Awesome results. If you want info, cotact me offline. Off season airfare is 400 dollars.
