Guest guest
I was about to be released when they discovered 102.7 temp and continued abdominal pain. Had another CT Scan and got severe diarrhea from the contrast. So they said one more day. So Friday was the day. I held court for many of the doctors while we waited to see if there was any reason to hold me back. About 4:00 my husband came, fully prepared to take me home. But wait . . .Someone with a sheaf of papers came in and said I had developed CDiff, so they were adding a prescription for Flagyl. We got a little farther in the process and someone came in and said that the medical doctor wanted us to wait for 20 minutes while he talked to the surgical team. Is it possible? Are they going to put me back? After 20 minutes, she came back in and said I was still going home. At one point, the woman said " April Fool " , then " just kidding " Here's where I am. Home in my bed. Took a bath in my tub. Next drama? I go to Boston from April 6th to the 10th. They scheduled the gall bladder surgery for Monday the 11th. That plane had better fly on time. dd
