Guest guest
Hi overwhelmed and welcome to a wonderful group, I too have RA and was diagnosed at 36 and am now pushing 44 real hard. I too have good and bad days where I have had suicidal thoughts, but never any intention of acting on them. I just think how nice it would be to no longer live in pain all the time. Please don't give up. There are medications out there that can make your life tolerable. I was a transcriptionist so I know how it is to lose your hands, devestating. I have been on social security disability since the beginning pretty much. I want you to know that this group is very helpful when you are having bad days, and you will have days that are worse than others. There is always someone willing to listen and has experience and can talk you through things. Just please hang in there and try to take it one day at a time. If I think of my life too far in the future, that is when I get overwhelmed so it is best to take it in small doses. Please email me anytime if you have specific questions or just need to whine. I will listen. My email is tracierae143@... Good luck. I hope you get a good rheumatologist. That is very important in your disease process. Try and take it easy and listen to your body. When it is screaming that it is exhausted, listen to it and rest! I find that helps a lot. BIG GENTLE HUGS, Tracie
