Well I just read up on the Truvia and it seems many people are having side

effects. I don't think I will be trying it after all. Any ideas if Stevia or

Splenda are safe?

packs to put in my tea since I want to cut out sugar. I think I will try that

new Truvia (sp) It is suppose to be from a plant. I have always been against the

Aspartame products but for some reason was going to cave in and use it. (what

was I thinking) Your post was a Godsend. Sorry you had to go through what you

did. Its crazy that stuff stays in the system for 6 months. I wonder why?

I use Splenda and like it very much. It tastes just like sugar to me.

I've been using it ever since it came out with no adverse side effects.

Truvia has Stevia in it.

Hi...I use " Stevia Raw " ...no maltodextrin or other additives.  I like it in

many things but start with as little as possible as I have found too much tastes

bitter.  I remember 12-14 years ago they were talking about the Stevia Plant

used as sweetner and 'someday' we would be able to get it at our grocery

stores.  Someday came.

Cheryle,

What do you mean when you say you use " stevia raw " ? Can I get it in packets to

put in my tea?

I used Stevia in the late 80's in place of aspartame. It is about 3000 times

sweeter than cane sugar so I had to use sparingly. In it's natural form, it is

a fine ground powder from the stevia leaves. You can find stevia in packets at

the health food stores such as Whole Foods.
