Hi Diane: So nice to hear from you. I am so hoping that things will

turn around for you, and you start to feel better. I admire your

spirit. You have been through so much, and yet, you try to go forward.

I am praying for you Diane. You so deserve a better, healthier life.

RA is such a challange for all of us.

I am doing good so far. I have cut my Pred. in 1/2, from 10mg. to 5 mg.

a day. I will stay on this dose for almost a month. I am going very

slowly, and I hope to be successful and get off my Pred. I can hardly

believe that I am feeling so good. What a breath of fresh air this has

been for me. I never thought it would happen to me. I have stiffness

in my feet and ankles, but that gets better as the day progresses. A

few times I have had to take some pain meds, but not very often. I will

enjoy this for as long as it lasts. I would like to really see how I am

if I can get off the Pred.

I have never had anyone think of me as their hero. That surprises me.

You flatter me Diane, and thank you for your nice compliment.

Wishing you pain free days ahead, and much better health. You so

deserve a break from all that has befallen you. I do care about you, my

friend.

Hugs to you,

Barbara

Barbara, you may well be a 'HERO' since you're showing rather than talking.

That's a good thing, so take it with a smile. ;)

I have tried a few times to get off Prednisone but had little success until

now. I started dropping from 10 mg per day and after getting a couple of

shots in my lower spine, I've quickly gone down to 2 1/2 mg and going down

to 1 1/4 next week, I hope. I finally learned that after staying at a level

for at least 10 days of comfort, then drop to the next level.

It would be nice if all of us have no pain, maybe it will happen.

Hi Dennis: Thank you, and I am smiling right now.

I was happy to read that you are doing so good cutting down on your

Pred. I have to go much slower, but moving right along. Maybe this

time I will make it.

You know Dennis, it would be the best thing if everyone here was out of

all their pain and suffering. We all fight the battle, day in and day

out. Everyone here so deserves to have a better life, and get rid of

all their pain and suffering. That would be the best thing for everyone

here.

I hope you have continued success getting off the Pred. for good. It

was nice to read that you are doing so much better. I am very happy for

you Dennis.

Hugs,

Barbara

Barbara,

THank you so much for your support and encouragement...We all our going with

this and some have had it harder..But all in all, I believe this disease is

something beyond my control..I will not give into it, and keep on fighting..I

keep believing that I will find my cocktail..This group Has helped so much in

many ways I can not list..I can say The enbrel is helping and I am tolerating

it. I have never been started on predinsone, just the medrol dose packs..Wish

you all the luck and success with weaning...thanks agian my friend...
