Guest guest
When I have a flare on the right or left side it usually involves the elbow as well. Usually when my hands are affected with the elbow the pain is at a stage that I couldn't tell you if my fingers are numb, actually that would be a blessing as they are inflamed and swollen, usually just one or two fingers. I have the same issue on the computer when I've been on it too long. Stan Seattle, Sun! [ ] Newbie here.....male, 62.....anybody here have ELBOW pain?????? I have degenerative disc disease at all 3 levels and cervical area the worst(c5,6,7,8), which I think is reason for my elbow pain(near funny bone)due to bone spurs at each level....BUT....I have Fibromyalgia and am trying to make distinction of muscle, tendon, ligament, nerve pain attributed to " arthritis-like " symptoms, Fibro, tendonitis(work out twice weekly at gym and am on computer all day most of time). The elbow pain was worse in left elbow....switched to clicking mouse(computer) to right hand today, and now RIGHT hand is paindul.....main symptoms in both hands is tingling, numbness of fingers, but the elbow discomfort is 90% of time. I don't hear people complaining of arthritis pain in elbows, but I'm sure people have it. Do any of you???? If so, do you also have tingling, numbness in fingers???? Thanks a bunch for your replies. Guest guest
Hi Shybasset, I get flares in my elbow. One or the other at different times. So far (knock on wood) it hasn't been both at the same time. During a flare I'm unable to straighten my elbow. If do, it is hard to bend it again with out screaming and visa versa. And when I move my fingers it shoots stabbing pains into my elbow. I don't experience any numbness or tingling ever. But one thing I find strange is that when I'm having a flare in one of my shoulders, sometimes the pain is in my upper arm. Not where the joint is. My Rheummy said that was normal. Guest guest
Welcome Shybasset, I have ddd in my lower back and cervical area. It can be very painful at times, the neck area is the worst. I have problems with my right elbow. The joint is swollen all the time. I am not able to pick up anything, the pain will is horrible. I don't have tingling or numbness. I have fibro, I am on neurontin, and just recently started cymbalta. I had horrible fibro pain, but now so much better since starting the cymbalta. Is the pain worse when you exercise? Are you seeing a rheumy? Are you on any meds for the pain? I'm glad you joined are group, you will find some good people and info. Take care, Tawny > > I have degenerative disc disease at all 3 levels and cervical area the worst(c5,6,7,8), which I think is reason for my elbow pain(near funny bone)due to bone spurs at each level....BUT....I have Fibromyalgia and am trying to make distinction of muscle, tendon, ligament, nerve pain attributed to " arthritis-like " symptoms, Fibro, tendonitis(work out twice weekly at gym and am on computer all day most of time). Guest guest
I have a bad left elbow from leaning on it while using this computer. The pain is worse at night. I do have tingling in my pinky and ring finger when my elbow is bent too long. I try and do simple elbow exercises but there aren't much help.
