Guest guest
Hi Joyce - If you don't mind, I wanted to " chime " into your question about Rituxan - I have had 2 infusions - and I love it! Although so many of the other drugs helped me, the side effects were horrible until I started Rituxan. Now I am unable to take MTX so I take it alone. I only have to have prednisone and allergy meds a few days prior to infusion then that's it. I have been extremely fortunate in that I don't have any problems with it AT ALL and at least for me, the benefits last for almost a year (not the standard 6 mths). I have read that some people feel a little sluggish or so the day after but I have not even experienced that. Good luck!!! in SC ltdavis_jrdavis@... For the pain I try to just take Tylenol arthritis, but when days are hard I take Demoral.?? Lately the weather has really stunk, so I've been taking alot of Demoral which often scares me due to the addictive nature of pain pills. I hope you feel better soon.. Gentle hugs and a prayer sent your way. Bonnie ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _ AOL Email goes Mobile! You can now read your AOL Emails whilst on the move. Guest guest
Joyce, I just got done my 6mth infusion... Unfortunately I had a bad reaction this past time that was horrible... However, my infusion nurse assured me that this is unusual. My very first infusion went really well, the only reaction I had was that the next day I was so tired I could barely function. So far, my infusions only last about 4months and my doc will only let me have them every 6 months... But during those 4 months, I actually start to feel 85% better then I have been with any of the other drugs... I have heard of great results with Rituxin and feel even the bad reaction I just had, is worth it to feel good for four months... I'm told the more infusions I get, that they may begin to last longer then the four months... I hope thats right! Please let me know how it goes... If you don't mind me asking, what is your actual diagnosis? Do you have strait RA or a combination of things? Gentle hugs and well wishes!
