Hey, I have a subject box back again :) good, the no subject line

made me wonder.....

So all my regular blood work is good, doc said I had the best GOOD, or

highest GOOD cholesterol level he had ever seen, go figure.

He excluded thyroid on my low but still in normal range levels. I was

really hoping to walk out with an rx for thyroid medicine and no need

for a rheumatologist. Oh well, I knew deep down there was more to my

story. Have been preparing for ra or lupus............

At the end of the appt I asked him lupus or ra? he picked up my

fingers and touched my elbow at the same time and said " this is

evidence of disease " . This following discussing my

persistent fever and positive ANA. Think now it is up to the

rheumotologist to find which it is.

Darn, now I have to wait 3 more weeks for the rheumy appt. Nice new

primary doc after being laid off and new insurance, he told

me to schedule in advance with the rheumy before my bloodwork and

subsequent appts, over 2 weeks ago which I did, I really appreciate he

did that. He saved me almost 3 weeks waiting!

He gave me an rx for sulindac for after the prednisone ends til the

rheumy appt. Any advice on suldinac? I am already getting hot burny

heartburn and taking heartburn pills on the high dose but short term

prednisone.

I am still hoping the fingertip lesions are from cold damage while out

too long with raynauds (before I knew I had raynauds) and not lupus

lesions but he said the rhuemy would asses that too.

Since I am new to all this I have been learning, keeping a log and

taking pictures incase I need them. Thanks to all for your input and

helping me along this path wherever it leads.

Take Care and Love to All of you!

KD
