Guest guest
............BARBARA..PAULA...TAWNY..CHERYL N OREGON...CARLA........... .....BARBARA;...So sorry to hear your little girl has this skin problems. I know how she feels. Not only is it imbarrassing to have, it causes great discomfort. My biggest problem with psyorisis is not picking it or scratching the affected area. It is real hard to walk on if I pull the loose dead skin off, it leaves a sore like a paper cut. PAULA....YOU ARE SO RIGHT PAULA, the enbrel does help it. If I can just leave it alone to heal, it would heal. Picking, scratching it seems to prolong the soreness. TAWNY...So sorry to hear hubby has to deal with psoriasis. I couldnt spell psoriasis so I copied your spelling of it and pasted it here. haaaaaaaaa. I am so good sometimes lol. I already asked my rheumy about RA affiliated with psoriasis. She said no, but what does she know she only went to school and training for about 14 years lol. Cheryle n Oregon.......See I thought for sure it had to do with RA. My rheumy said the enbrel will clear it up. She said the plaquenil caused the eruptions cause I had the normal psoriasis or ecxema.(one of them). I thought for sure there was a psoratic RA. Cheryle do you know what the difference of psoratic ra and reg psorisis is? Just curious. CARLA... Hi good to have ya in the group. I don't post very often, but I do like to read what is going on in our lives with RA. When I first joined the group, I asked the same question about flare ups. Now being here a year I know what it means. I have flare ups that make me cry sometimes. I think what they mean by a flare up is when the normal everyday pain from RA has sky rockeded. My rheumy has got my pain level down to a tolerable level, meaning I still have pain but I can handle it. I had days I laid in bed and prayed for death from the pain. Those days are over. I have developed the ability to tell my rhemy that I hurt bad and not be ashamed of the pain. The good people of the group here has taught me to voice my pain to our rheumys. So now when I have a flare up, I have learned how to take care of it. EVERYONE.... I been reading about your pain. I understand. You have put it in words I couldnt think of, so I know what you mean. I am tickled at how you make these cute little remarks that crack me up, like More fun yet or, the funny jokes you write even though you are hurting. It makes the day go by forgetting the pain for a little while. I pray for each of you and I believe in prayer. God bless and take care everyone. gentle kind hugs CLORA

Guest guest
Hi Kathy - I'm sorry you're in so much pain. I've been there as have all of us here. I would recommend you make a list of where you are hurting and maybe make a daily note of your pain levels on a 1-10 scale since that's what the doctors will ask you anyway. I pray you get some relief soon. We DON'T have to live in pain. If you aren't getting the answers you need from the Rheumy you're seeing, search for another one. Praying for pain free days ahead for you. Keep us posted. We care.....Doreen Help my friend i am in the same boat with pain--how do you tell the remy how bad you hurt. all i want to do is cry and stay away from people. kathy E
