Guest guest
OK, now I'm going to sound like the ........ after looking at my MRI scans alone, no consult yet, a conversation rings in my memory. My grandfather (he is now gone) moved his microwave from next to his table because he told me that it was affecting his vision. That was back in the EARLY 90s when I had 2 toddlers and more to ponder than his wacky idea. So yesterday this conversation came to me because I realized my microwave is just at my eye level, no I'm not is a wheel chair, just vertically challenged. Anyway, my right eye appears to be completely glowing in the MRI and just a few weeks ago while renewing my license I realized that the right eye was really a LOT worse then my left when looking in their machine. I was shocked that I probably missed 3 of the flashing lights on the right side (they did that first) I've been living in my home with the microwave for 15 years. When I first saw the scan I wondered " why the right eye? " but in thinking about this dumb microwave thing....i realized we have a tv in the kitchen and when I look at it my head is turned so that my right side is toward the microwave. So yesterday I was doing google searches about MS and microwaves till my antivirus started alarming about a trojan...whatever that is so I shut down did a scan and all is well. Before shutting down, I was trying to understand the techno garbo about white matter being affected, yada yada, yada. Have any of you found anything about that, and is there a way to regenerate the Myelin? My husband had some nerve damage (foot drop) and he reversed it with exercise and they have him on folic acid. You know, I don't eat horrible, have been on a gluten free diet for 5 years now - I'm stict too- As I read through the posts, I wonder if those " cured " actually have the scar tissue on their Myelin? and scar tissue...that is a whole nother topic, My surgeon in 1993 said I had prduced an over abundance of it in my abdomen and he removed a lot then, no more problems. Could MS be a " catch all phrase " drs use and there are many reasons that cause our symptoms? and is that why some are cured with one thing and others another? OK I'm rambling now...sorry...maybe I need that consult but you know what I'm going to hear, even though I don't. My DH said I don't have to do anything I don't want. what a sweetie. my pharmisist did tell me of a wholistic pharmacist in town, I think I'll call there today. Thanks for letting me vent, ponder via keyboard, and be a part of your group. I guess I just have to remember " The Joy of the LORD is my STRENGTH! and focus there. Hope you have a great Labor day weekend! sw4H
