Guest guest
My insurance company said that I had to try Methotrexate before they would approve other meds. So I started with Mtx. I felt kind of icky for the first couple of days, but it did help the RA. The next med to try was Arava. That also made me sick, made my hair fall out and wasn't any better. So after trying those two, the company would pay for Remicade, which has been wonderful. I'm still on the lowest dose and probably going to raise it the next time. dd
Guest guest
Medicare requires the MTX to go first too.
