Guest guest
I guess it's my turn to whine and cry again. I was feeling so good ... was on mtx oral (6 tabs) and only felt bad 1 1/2 to 2 days following the meds, but was almost pain free ... I say ALMOST. I started the injections this week and went up to .8ml (basically up 2 tabs worth) and today I feel horrible! I tried getting some washing done and when I was lifting all the clothes the muscles in my arms felt so incredibly weak! They were burning and the clothes felt like they weighed a ton! I rested for a bit and then tried to start getting the front room ready for the Christmas tree ... yes, my Christmas tree is still in the attic!!! I had to roll up a sleeping bag and tie it up. Well, the little buckle fell off the tie piece and I had to thread the nylon strap back through (my daughter came and helped me with that), but I'm in some major pain now! My hands hurt so bad! On top of this, I am incredibly worried about my daughter. She is 13 and has been home from school for the past week on some pretty strong pain meds because she has an ovarian cyst. She feels pretty good as long as she is laying around in a reclined or semi-reclined position, but as soon as she gets up and moving around for more than a couple minutes, she is in some pretty bad pain. We were waiting this week to see if the cyst would resolve on its own and they wouldn't have to do surgery, but from the way she is complaining about the pain, I'm thinking it hasn't resolved. We will find out at her appointment tomorrow for sure. Also, because it is so big, they will not be able to do it laproscopically. They will have to do the full abdominal surgery. I am trying to be so strong for her, but I am really worried! Not worried that something could go wrong, but I don't want my baby to have to go through surgery! Could the stress of Christmas and my daughter's illness be causing the decrease in effectiveness of the mtx? Did anyone have less relief from the injections over the pills? Thanks for letting me whine! If you are so inclined, I would appreciate a prayer for my daughter's doctor appointment tomorrow! Hugs and wishes for pain free days to all!!!
