Guest guest
I started getting arthritis in my hands about 5 years ago. It started out as a lump on my right ring finger, knuckle closest to the nail. My boyfriend saw the lump. He had a lancet and pierced the lump. A clear thick liquid came out of the lump, reducing its size. At that time I had no idea it was going to be arthritis. Has anyone else had this liquid come out of the hands? What is it? I now have many nodules on every finger. I'm right-handed. My worst area is the knuckle closet to the nail on my right hand. It hurts all the time now. I expect that all the fingers will get worse. I've only ever been to my PCP for care and only for my regular check up. Even though it has progressed, he tells me I don't need to do anything about it. But now that my R index finger hurts all the time, I'm thinking I should see a specialist. How do you know when to seek additional help?
