Guest guest
I used to have a trick that worked for me once but I didn’t continue with it. I would get the food I wanted and immediately eat half but make sure that from the time I started until I could start on the second half was 10 minutes. Then if still hungry could start on the second half. I would only take a few bites usually. I lost a lot of weight doing this, but then I started feeling pressure to just loose more weight. Hi there guys, thanks for the details they do help asking myself what quality of food I' d like, it helps narrow down the variety of choices down to the one thing I' d feel like treating myself with. Also asking me all these questions as to whhy I got into this habit to understand where I'm coming from has made me realize 2 things : - As long as I m at work I have no cravings at all ( anymore) it s like I can totally connect with my body and follow it s lead - despite the temptation of all the chocolates and candies and sodas available for free at my work place. The problem start when I get home.. for some reason I get these huge cravings once I m at home, it s actually the first thing I want to do... It s not like I m so busy at work that I dont have time to crave, it s rather as if I associated home with binge-ing. Does that make sense. - I also thought about feeling comfortable in my body and realized I always tuck my tummy in. I used to do ballet and my teacher would hit on my stomach for me to put it in. My mom would also repeat constantly that I should tuck my tummy along with walking straight... but it s not a natural state is it...How can I feel comfortable in my body if keep forcing my belly to stick in the most breath-stopping and uncomfortable position. I know we' re all familiar with that, but it struck me this morning and I decided to let my belly out fully... it felt GREAT... Another thing I wanted to ask you : did anybody really get back in shape after adopting intuitive eating? How long did it take? I also read about the method which is pretty close to intuitive eating but also has some tips to reprogram your subconscious to stop the defensive process ( your body gains when it feels 'in danger' that is why in the winter, it automatically gains a little to protect itself from the cold), and dieting triggers the same reaction on the long term... so tells us to turn the fat button off and turn the thin button on, for our bodies to realize : there' s nothing to fear.
