Try taking a high dose of vitamin D along with the plaquenil. I am only taking

plaquenil and my rheumatologist also told me to take vitamin D because my level

was low. The combination of plaq and vit D for about 3 months did nothing to

relieve the pain in my hands, then he told me to double the amount of vit D I

was taking. Within a week the pain was gone. He said that they believe vit D is

really helpful for managing pain and I'm a true believer after my experience.
