Guest guest
What kind of doctors usually perform this kind of testing? >> Usually DMPS challenge, but it is highly dangerous for someone with MS so I wouldnt do it. I would just assume you have mercury and take chlorella, it sucks out other bad stuff too, so it would only be a good thing.

Guest guest
We used an environmental doctor for my son with great results. You probably have a LOT more then mercury in there! Actually, we had metals, molds (tested at a special brand new lab in Dallas), pathogens (candida) and bad bacteria. Getting rid of it brought forth healing. There are some GREAT labs out there! Metametrix Labratory, Genova Labs all give excellent comprehensive testing and you need to find a doctor who uses the good labratories and does extensive testing. Everyone is an individual and your labs will give you a specific roadmap toward healing that is designed just for you. Along with a chelation challenge, you probably want a stool analysis and an OATS test. The one thing you need to spend good hard cash on is your labs! We get a comprehensive full body lab that pulls urine as well as about 13 vials of blood done every year and a half. It goes through every area of the body and shows me whether we are healing or not and where we need to focus our attentions on. It WORKS! If you're in the the process of chelating, you probably want to get a chelation challenge done every 6 months to see how you're doing. Those labs cost about $140, depending on where you go. BUT.... what is the underlying issue? Why is it that his body " collects " and does not detoxify properly while the rest of us are fine? To understand this is key. Otherwise you will be chelating and detoxing and using special diets and supplements forever to maintain your health. This is how I understand it. I am not a doctor so this will not be entirely acurate but it will give you the " gist " : At one point there was an " assault " on the body that was not taken care of properly. It could be anything ranging from a virus, bad bacteria, candida or even a food intolerance. The " nasty " got inside the system and through the years began to take hold. In the gut, it whittled away and eventually, holes are made which allows the pathogen entrance to the system. I'm not explaining this well but it is called intestinal permeability. The gut lining becomes compromised. Foods begin cross the gut barrier and the body goes into attack mode. The natural killer T cells get turned on and we now begin the process of auto-immune as the T-cells begin to attack what it sees as foes to the body and then the T cells begin to attack the body itself. This causes a type of allergic reaction such as brain fog as our body fights the foes. Malabsorbtion results because the body now is attacking a lot of the foods coming in. The malabsorbtion now begins to disrupt some of the biochemical pathways that we need for survival. The methylation pathway becomes compromised. One of the important items produced in the methylation pathway is glutathione. Glutathione is our body's soap. It is our natural 'cleanser' enabling us to get rid of all of the " bad " things we encounter. Now, instead of eliminating metals, we hold on to them. Metals do nasty nasty things to the body. Lead brings forth ADD type symptoms and disrupts our ability to process resulting in a perceived lower IQ. Arsenic disregulates blood sugar so makes the body extremely fatigued. Mercury is particularly nasty. It migrates to the eyes, the hands and generally disregulates the ATP pathway resulting in an inability to manufacture creatine....which affects our muscles. MB12 is a major part of the methylation pathway and that is why so many who are chronically ill do extremely well on the B12 shots. This is why special diets work for so many. If you get rid of the chemicals and you feed the body items that it does not perceive as " foe " , then the auto-immune quiets down. Supplements provide the body with the nutrients it is lacking and strength is built back up. But you don't get healing....you get relief. For us, we had to do it all at once to get healing. We had to chelate the metals while at the same time eliminating the canadida while at the same time eliminating the bad bacteria while at the same time getting rid of parasites and molds while at the same time doing the special diets. It is HARD! But, the stomach lining turns over every week (think it's 10 days?) and if you can get rid of all of the bad guys from the body and get that stomach lining healed, you've gone a long way to winning the war against auto-immune. There is a book called " Allergies: Disease in Disguise: How to Heal your Allergic Condition Permanently and Naturally by Carolee Beteson-Koch that I really like. It gave me a good understanding of how the T cells shift and why you have to attack all of the " bad " guys in the body all at once to get healing. Let's say you get rid of all the metals but still have candida. Well, that door is still open, the gut is still permeable so the metals just get back in again. So, you have to get rid of ALL of the pathogens and metals to achieve true healing. We are almost there. We just have a little mercury left and a bit of bad bacteria remaining. The healing and restoration of function we have had so far is remarkeable. (though not MS, we had global dyspraxia.... almost like mild cerebral palsey to give you a picture). We have had a complete restoration of the mind and about a 95% restoration of the body. We still have some issues with the hands and fine motor abilities but it is slowly coming back.....very slowly. The hands seem to be the toughest thing to fix. We have been chelating for almost 3 years using oral DMSA and ALA. It has been amazing!
