Guest guest
Lori, I don't know anything about pleurisy, but I would think that your husband should also do the liver cleanse. I have done it twice now and sure have gotten a lot of stones out of my liver. Good luck. Steve Swan lori.dolman@... wrote: > Does anyone know about pleurisy. Guest guest
Re: Pleurisy Lori, According to my medical cyclopedia, and physicians desk reference, pleurisy is a general term for inflammation of lining in or about the lungs and/or diaphragm. There are according many different kinds of pleurisy, which kind depending upon the location and cause of the inflammation. You might check with your physician and figure out just where the inflammation lies and whether it is cause by irritation or by some pathogen. ___________________________ Lori, I don't know anything about pleurisy, but I would think that your husband should also do the liver cleanse. Guest guest
Lori: There is a huge body of evidence that suggests that higher concentrations of vitamin A increase the immune function considerably. Vitamin A may be had from carrot juice, green leafy veges, mixed carotenoid tablets. Ozone water would also be very useful for pleurisy. Look for sources of ammonia as an irritant that breaks down tissues. The amino acid arginine tends to remove ammonia. Cheers, Earl Re: Pleurisy Lori, I don't know anything about pleurisy, but I would think that your husband should also do the liver cleanse. Guest guest
Dear , I have had bouts with Pleurisy and Pericarditis and the Prednisone was the only thing that ever helped these problems. My own experience has been that the Prednisone is the only thing that ever helped my Systemic symptoms of this disease. I hope you feel better soon. Love, jatw@... Guest guest
Dear , Thanks so much for the info. Do you remember how long it took to feel a difference with the pleurisy when you took the prednisone? Thanks for trying to remember! Guest guest
, Steroids is the only thing that helps me with the pleurisy and lately I'm having the same experience as you when trying to taper. It's all just so frustrating, isn't it? Hang in there. Love, Barb

Guest guest
Nuno, Oops -- don't know what happened. Did your rheumy treat you for the pleurisy? A friend who's a nurse keeps saying I should see a pulmonologist. Just curious. Thanks,
Guest guest
Thanks, Nuno. I agree...it seemed that if it is definitely inflammation it probably doesn't need a pulmonologist. But I wasn't sure what you or others had been told. Thanks for the info. leslie
Guest guest
Hi ! For a long time now (maybe 15 years) that i cant expand fully my ribcage. I started by having JRA since my 1st year,on the second year all my joints were involved, and so now i have all my joints and bones affected by the disease and the treatments. My pleurisy was treated by my group of rheumys, it appeared when i had my last 2 flares. During its treatment i also went to a cardiologist to check fluids around the pericardium. Sorry not spelling those medical terms right, but.... Nuno aka Nunito Coimbra Portugal Re: Re: Pleurisy > Nuno, > > Oops -- don't know what happened. Did your rheumy treat you for the > pleurisy? Guest guest
Hi again! As for a pneumonologist? my docs didnt saw any reason at the time,it was a clear inflamation of the pleura, a clear evidence of the disease. Guest guest
Wow! Thanks for this link! This sounds like what I experienced a few months ago after getting out of the hospital due to pneumonia. Fortunately, mine seems to have solved itself. Guest guest
Deborah, I sure hope you get your surgery soon. Being able to eat and get all the nutrients in well help you with your health. I know when I was having a really hard time eating I would get sick a lot faster. When I would get sick I would get dehydrated really fast cause I was always sitting right at the verge of that anyway. When you have your surgery you need to pamper yourself and have someone wait on you and and foot for a good few weeks. That is my sugestion. Hope you are doing well as can be. in Suffolk
Guest guest
Dear PureDakota, I haven't heard of any connection between pleurisy and Achalasia; I have had the first and now have the second. I know I have aspirated food and the pains from the coughing, retching and chest pains are just about the worst I've ever had. I have lousey lungs anyway and now that I am cleared for my VAT, via my health insurance, I have become more nervous than I already was. I've had pneumonia 6 times, I've had food in my lungs way too often, I've had pulmonary embolisms, and I have very low blood pressure and tend to bleed easily. Great, ain't it?! Pleurisy, I had thought, is the result of an infection that settles in the heart's lining. I was in the cardio unit for about 5 days with it and then was at home on complete bed rest for another week or so. All in all, I have noticed that a lot of the members of this group have other health issues, ie. stress, being a bit overweight, taking antidepressants, may have had blunt force chest traumas, food allergies or drug allergies and aspirate liquids and/or solids. I hope your current health problems with pleurisy go away safely, quickly and effectively. Pleurisy is not a pleasant condition. (I've also got a slightly enlarged heart and I sometimes wonder as if the pleurisy contributed to that.) all best of swallows, Deborah, at the beach
Guest guest
Hi Deborah-- Thanks for getting back to me about the pleurisy issue. The kind I have is a pulmonary thing--the lining of my lungs is inflamed so I'm noticing how many times one breathes in and out during a day (answer: a lot!). Sorry to hear that you're dealing with all kinds of things. So you're going to have a myotomy soon? I had mine in 1995, and although it was a long way from a cure, was SO worth it. All the best. Guest guest
I'm not sure if iodine helps pleurisy or not but I know the one thing that helped me with the pain is to get a thin cotton rag/towel and tie it tightly under your breasts so your rib cage cannot not expand but just a little...even an old neck tie will work. This helps more than you know. If your ribs are not expanding to their full capacity then the pain of pleurisy is cut way down. Rest and keep your ribs restricted until the pain and pleurisy goes away.Hopes this helps you as much as it did me.It's my understanding pleurisy is caused by inflammation in your pleura cavity. All a doctor will do is run a bunch of worthless tests and prescribe medications that do not work and they will relieve you of a bunch of your money.SandyFrom: sherisheri24 <sherisheri24@...>Subject: Pleurisyiodine Date: Sunday, January 10, 2010, 4:36 PM Hi friends, Anyone here have experiences with or treatments ideas for pleurisy? Much thanks.
Guest guest
> > My girlfriend has lupus and is sick right now and she thinks she has pleurisy because she had it 6 years ago and the pain is the same as it was then. Any suggestions on how to help her get through this naturally Bee or mods? She is having trouble breathing right now. Please help. +++Hi Danny, Unfortunately there are no quick fixes since there are Four Causes of Failing Health, whether it is lupus, candida, MS, heart disease, diabetes, asthma, pleurisy, and on and on the list goes: 1. Lack of proper nutrition and oxygen. 2. Accumulation of toxins, poisons, and waste. 3. Lowered vitality due to stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets, relationship or financial worries and concerns, etc. 4. Nutritional status inherited from your parents upon conception, which can be corrected by proper nutrition. So it stands to reason this program improves anyone's health since it builds up the immune system so the body is able to heal itself the way Nature intended, and it is done by: 1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements), 2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer), 3) Eliminating damaging foods, and 4) Eliminating toxins in general. So your girlfriend would be wise to go on this program. If she doesn't have candida/yeast she should read: Foods That Damage, Foods That Heal http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal13.php If she has candida have her read: Please ensure you read two important articles so you know what you need to do and why: How to Successfully Overcome Candida: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php I hope she realizes she cannot get well unless she follows Nature's Laws on Health. All the best, Bee
