Guest guest
Oh, I think I have some licorice root already here. We already use milk of mag, he does swish with it . I've got a call into his pdoc and the nurse said why don't you take him to the dr. I said because last time we went they cauterized them and he WON " T go back. So she is going to talk to the dr. and get back to me.. for kenalog paste. Thanks again everyone. I am trying so hard to find something because if I get ONE, I am miserable I can't imagine what his feel like. He has 1 in the throat, 2 on the tip of his tongue and a big one inside his bottom lip. OUCH! Toni : Going to see if I can get him to let me put some licorice powder on his sore..Thanks again everyone. ( ) Re: Ulcers Hi Toni, Toothpaste with SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) can cause this for some people. Might check your toothpaste and if it has this, try switching and see if there's an improvement in how often they get them. Here's one short thing I googled: http://ddschan.com/TheLibrary/SodiumLaurylSulfate.htm I've read many times that Licorice root is good for this. A quick google and here's a bit of an excerpt on it: " Probably the most outstanding herbal remedy for mouth sores is licorice root, a potent anti-inflammatory and tissue healer. Put a pinch of powder on the sore, or suck on a lozenge made from DGL (de- glycyrrhizinated licorice). " You might ask at a local herbal/vitamin place about licorice root. But it can raise blood pressure in people so you don't " overdo " on licorice. Also, I think Milk of Magnesia helps. I imagine you swish with it. (OK, I have some of this info saved because I have periodontal problems and run across interesting stuff in my online searches) Hope something helps. > > My boys are constantly getting ulcers on their tongues, gums, lips, and throat. Guest guest
yep, I checked his toothpaste does have this in it. I am going to try and get the rembrant and see if this makes a difference. Guest guest
Hi, My son was always getting ulcers - when I took him to the doctors the first time, I was told it was a minor problem and not to worry about it. However, they became really bad and when I saw a different doctor, he told me he suspected my son had thrush because of a slightly furry tongue. He prescribed antibiotics which cleared up the ulcers completely and he hasn't had a problem since. I know that ASD children often suffer from fungal infections but I didn't think this was something had so I was quite surprised. Just something to bear in mind for your own kids. Guest guest
Thanks, they had thrush when they were babies. The dr mentioned this too when I called and said if the kenalog doesn't work to take him to his gp. Of course you would have to apply the kenalog for it to work... Thanks for the info though, I'll keep that in mind . Guest guest
Alison - My husband gets the ulcers often when he has a yeast flare- up. He has been chelating for about 1.5 yr, and whenever he has these, he normally increases his probiotics and takes GSE couple of times a day and that helps. Guest guest
Yes, agreed on yeast. Gargle with liquid GSE in water a few times a day. > > > > Hi all > > > > I recently had an unpleasant but intriguing experience. Guest guest
L-lysine is supposed to help that kind of thing. I used to read a lot about fasting, so I know that when you detox the toxins can come out in all kinds of ways (blisters, sweat, breath). Good luck, sounds like your body is ridding itself of something bad. Liz > > > > > > Hi all > > > > > > I recently had an unpleasant but intriguing experience. Guest guest
Thanks very much Liz, Jada and Madhuri, Yes yeast is very plausible, I will be more rigorous about my protocol from now on. Guest guest
Can't say but I would be careful. I was just at the Doctor and had a scope job from he back of my teeth to the bottom of my tail because of stomach problems. Turns out my stomach was raw inside the result of too much acid. My KT runs about a 2.5 ph.. So I now can't drink KT, or my two cups of coffee a week or any soda pop and no Mexican food. I've been on anti acid pills from the doctor for a week and simi-restricted diet, I feel much better. Sorry I waited so long to get the problem taken care of. I've had people say KT helped their stomach problems, I guess they needed more acid, I needed less acid. Ulcers Does any one knows if KT is good for Stomach Ulcers. ------------------------------------
Guest guest
Food for thought...once you balance your ph with clay...then you can entertain the thought of readding k-tea to your day....Cheers D Ulcers Does any one knows if KT is good for Stomach Ulcers. ------------------------------------

Guest guest
I just found out that stomach ulcers and acid refux is cause because you do not have enough acid in your body. One thing that is helping my wive is alo vera from arizone. > > > Hi, > > I am a bit confused. Guest guest
Low acid can be the case, as my neighbors wife is in that group, but the specialist I went to said I had to get rid of some acid for my stomach to heal. I tried the add acid to my diet from another doctor and my problem got worse. Ulcers can and most often come from bacteria infection so the doctor said. KT so I'm told turns Alkaline after it is digested and enters the system. In the stomach it is still acid. You can go to a docor who does the test and have the acid in your stomach tested to see if there is too much or too little. Too many people guess at what is wrong and say Oh I have an ulcer because one part of their stomach hurts, even a doctor will say, oh it sound like an ulcer. Get the test done and find out what the problem is and what is causing it, I'm sure glad I did. Guest guest
The first time I cured my ulcers was with aloe vera, but then moved to a small town where aloe juice was unheard of & at that time, there was no internet available to buy things. This is when my daughter brought this strange wonderful creature (scoby)into my life. As much as I had pursued natural healing, I had NEVER heard of kombucha. Leap of faith changed my life & I agree w/posts from the past that declared the belief that kombucha is even more effective than aloe. I not only drink it for its many health benefits it is my entire medical kit for topical healing. Just as the aloe vera plant once was. Also I have some very OLD rose bushes(planted in the sixties) that were droopy & I covered the base of each w/scobies & the difference in the amount of roses & their quality was startling. Bev, the man other than Mike Roussian was Ed Kasper that did a lot of research. Peace. Guest guest
Hi and EveryOne, Thank you for the confirmation...one of the other people that used Kombucha for ulcers was I believe, Mike Roussin, the other one was here before Ed, but I can't think of his name yet.... Anyway glad ot hear that it works for you too! Did you drink it in the usual way or do something special because of the ulcers? Let us know so we can help others with that question. Guest guest
Hi EveryOne, Not sure if my memory is correct but I think it might have been Jack Barclay who also used Kombucha for ulcers with success. This list has been going since 1995 and a lot of wonderful people have shared their Kombucha information and experiences since then. Thank you to all who make this list the helpful, healing, place that it is! Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > > > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > I am a bit confused.
