Guest guest
I drank it in the usual way, starting out w/small amount & then doubling weekly until I was drinking about 12 ounces a day. Unfortunately I did as so many people do, lapse after lapse, until I finally GOT it. Now I drink about 8 ounces a day & NEVER run out. If I do, not only does my stomach react, but my body acts like a car running out of gas(sputtering along the side of life's highway) until it gets a refill. I say to those w/stomach problems, just be patient & the tea will do the trick. Not just for stomach though. My mother had really crippling rheumatoid arthritis, my father had osteo arthritis & gout. I show no signs of either. Bev, when I find the files showing research, will forward on. Gotta go drink my tea. Peace. Re: Ulcers Hi and EveryOne, Thank you for the confirmation...one of the other people that used Kombucha for ulcers was I believe, Mike Roussin, the other one was here before Ed, but I can't think of his name yet.... Anyway glad ot hear that it works for you too! Did you drink it in the usual way or do something special because of the ulcers? Let us know so we can help others with that question. Guest guest
Pepto Bismol will cure ulcers - the bismuth kills the bacteria that cause it. It may take only 1 or 2 bottles, taken as directed for a week or 2. And if you are suffering from GERD, eat a piece of apple. I don't know why, but it will wipe it out. I ended up with GERD from lots of NSAIDs for arthritis. Nothing as fun waking up in the middle of the night choking on stomach acid! Gayla RE: Ulcers > Low acid can be the case, as my neighbors wife is in that group, but the > specialist I went to said I had to get rid of some acid for my stomach to > heal. Guest guest
My husband has had H-Pylori problems until we started using kefir, kombucha, bromlain and benedite clay. After he got his stomach healed, he keeps the kefir and kombucha going and he's good.  YAHWEH IS MY DADDY AND HE IS MIGHTY! May you seek HIS will in your life so that HE can bless you richly!
Guest guest
I am just going through OLD messages I thought I had deleted. I got rid of acid reflux by eating a piece of apple. Even sometimes just a bite will calm it down. It is no fun waking up in the middle of the might retching on stomach acid. Try it - it works! Gayla Re: Ulcers >I just found out that stomach ulcers and acid refux is cause because you do >not have enough acid in your body. One thing that is helping my wive is alo >vera from arizone. Guest guest
This is not a food but does she smoke? It is very hard on the pouch and causes ulcers. From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Hosier, Sent: Thursday, March 03, 2011 10:30 AM Subject: ulcers I have a pt who was just diagnosed with a couple ulcers in her pouch. She asked if there were any foods to avoid. I suggested caffeine and alcohol but was unsure if there were any others. Guest guest
She doesn’t smoke and is pretty compliant in general. She has had some other issues with medication imbalances. Her ulcer may be related to that. Thanks for the input. Guest guest
It is not a food, but make sure she is not using aspirin or NSAID medications as they increase gastric irritation/risk of ulcers. Of course be sure she is not smoking, too. Guest guest
Hi , Same thing happened to me a couple of yrs ago. My stomach was like hamburger with three bleeding uclers, one about to blow. Got to the hospital just in time. Anyway, my doctor told me that could happen without me even knowing it. I dont think I've taken an inflammatory since then without being told to take it with Tagament. I would know if things ever got that bad again, it bothered me for two weeks before I went. But your, right, it wasnt excruiciating or anything, so we do have to be careful.
