LOL, that is what I though until the orthopedic surgeon told me what was going to happen after my posterior spinal fusion with hardware . . . 6 weeks to 2 months of no driving or lifting (need live in help) . . . 3 days in ICU after surgery, need to give 2 pints of blood before surgery . . . they go in from the front and back and they take bone from my hip as well. So a total of 3 incisions they will use my open RNY scar, plus a pretty new one about 10 inches long down my spine . . . I have no Idea about the hip bone??? The RNY is minor surgery in comparison, though it is my biggest year to date! Yikes .. . . now you know why I keep putting off the back surgery . . .
