Diane, nice to hear from you. Yes, there is a blood test for cancer

markers. I am being followed by an alternative doctor (M.D.) here in New

York who screens me for cancer markers as well as levels of vitamins,

minerals, etc. in my blood. The cancer marker blood test is not usually

recognized by alopathic physicians but is widely use by alternative

physicians - why, I don't know as it is quite accurate. Yes, I have only

used only alternative therapies. I figures if they didn't work I could

always go the " poison, slash and burn " route. I do a lot of reading about

cancer and alternative remedies, as well as health in general. I have a

semi-vegetarian diet, drink a lot of fresh juice, and am on a regimen of

vitamins, shark cartilage and Essiac. I also do cleanses, especially for

parasites, etc. etc. etc. (as you well know, there are many " alternatives " ).

Be glad to answer any other questions you have. Kathy.

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for all the info. You're one of the few people I've " met " who

hasn't had any kind of traditional treatment. I'll be seeing Dr.

Rountree's partner in Boulder, Co. soon. Got his name from the Definitive

Guide to Cancer. Sounds like we are doing a similar " regime. " I'm not

doing shark cartilage, and someone told me Essiac tea helps with parasites.

Not sure if that is true or not?

Thanks again. Sounds like we have similar philosophies as well. :>)

Diane, thanks for the message. I have heard that the Definitive Guide to

Cancer is a great source but have not read it yet. Who is Dr. Roundtree?

Never heard that Essiac tea is good for parasites but it wouldn't surprise

me since it has been so successful in treating cancer and parasites are such

a volatile source of cancer. You should read Dr. Lane's book on shark

cartilage from the library if you havn't already done so - " Sharks Don't Get

Cancer " and " Sharks Still Don't Get Cancer " (not exact). Very good

information. Also, for parasite elimination Dr. Hulda is a must -

" The Cure For All Cancers " , " The Cure For All Diseases " , etc., not only for

parasites but for a wealth of other information that helps. Of utmost

importance to me was hooking up with an alternative physician. Mine has a

library of books and tapes for his patients that got me started

understanding the disease and all of its remifications. My opinion at this

point is that many if not most cancers are caused by environmental toxins.

Hi Kathy,

I agree with you on the environmental toxins. I live in a rural

agriculatural area where they still spray malthion for mosquito control!

We've tried to get that changed, but haven't had much luck, which has also

played in my decision to move. They give these warnings for everyone to go

inside when they spray, and say that it's just a precaution, that the stuff

is harmless. Eeeks. Makes me tired to think of it all. :>)

Thanks for the idea on the shark cartilage book. I've almost checked it

out a couple of different times from the library, but will do it this week.

There is just so much info out there, you could get lost in studying and

not live life. I've also been doing visualizations which make me feel

peaceful, and I don't have a need to do " battle " against my cancer. I see

my cells as wanting to be healthy just as much as I want.

Dr. Rountree is an alternative MD in Colorado.

Thanks again. Have a great day.

Diane

Diane, I know what you mean about " so much information " out there, but

having read voraciously for a couple of years I have " separated the wheat

from the chaff " , so to speak, and the shark cartilage book is very helpful,

not only from the standpoint of the info on shark cartilage but also the

info on anti-angiogenisis. There are many different anti-angiogenic

substances, not just shark cartilage. So once you get the gist of the

concept, you see your cancer in a different light. Also, I would strongly

suggest that you research the parasite angle; I believe that there is much

help in that arena as well.

Right on with the visualization techniques. Try this one - write down

every day on a piece of paper, 15 times, something like the following: " I

am healthy, joyful and free of all cancer " . I am a strong believer in " act

as though " , i.e. act as though you are free of all cancer every day. You

get the idea.

Blessings to you on your journey to health! Kathy.

Hi Kathy,

Thanks again for your expertise. I saw Dr. s book in the health food

store when I was in there a few times ago. Do the parasite cleanses make

you sick? I don't want to do anything that makes me feel worse. I read

one cleanse where they used baking soda and something else, and they said

you would be quite sick for about two days. Didn't make sense to me. I'll

check her book out though. Thanks for that tip.

Thanks also on the idea to write a postive thought down. I do affirmations

which is the same thing, and feel the same way, and view myself as healthy

and perfect. I read a book called You Can Heal Your Life in 1984 after

being exposed to radiation in the military in the late 70's, and it's based

on just that. I stayed in a pre-cancer state for years, then stopped doing

the affirmations, and ended up with cancer. Other things may have come in

to play as well, but I believe we have a tremendous capacity to heal

ourselves just by what we think, or make ourselves ill. Works both ways I

guess. At least that seems to be true by watching people. The ones who

complain about this and that, really end up being sicker, and the ones who

just live life, appear healthier.

Thanks again. The oddest thing about this is that I had given a fleeting

thought to a masectomy but my oncologist said I would have to have chemo

and most likely radiation due to my age, and would not be able to do

reconstruction right away, which was in disagreement with the surgeon. I

had thought also about alternative therapies, and am glad they had that

disagreement as it gave me time to research things and pick and choose what

works for me. I feel great.

Take care. Blessings to you as well. The Journey is also a good book.

Made me think of that when I read your journey comment. It's written by a

gal who reversed a footbal size tumor in her stomach in 6 weeks by using a

tecnique she developed called the Journey. Fascinating.

Diane, thanks for the message. About the parasite cleanse, although I have

never experienced this, I have been told that the parasite cleanse can cause

some discomfort when the parasites die. There are ways to get around this,

though. Dr. claims that the cleanse can be tolerated by elderly

people with cancer (most of her patients are late stage - what stage are

you?). Also, it can cause insomnia, and Dr. has natural

recommendations for this contingency (I never experienced the insomnia).

So, no guarantees but you should be able to at least tolerate it and the

benefits are tremendous.

Who is the author of " You Can Heal Your Life " . Thanks for the tip on The

Journey, I'll look for the book.

I agree about the anger aspect of cancer; it undoubtedly plays a part.

Blessings, Kathy.

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for your message. I guess what I'll do is just get Dr. s book.

In May I was told I was in the early stages of breast cancer and have been

feeling great, so will know more after I see my doc in Colorado here soon,

but as far as I can tell there haven't been any " physical " changes since

Feb. when I first found the lump, which is really two.

You Can Heal Your Life was written by Louise Hay. You can get the book off

amazon or her website which is hayhouse.com The Journey was written by

Bays, and

is only available in the United Kingdom for now. I got my copy off

amazon.com.uk Kinda fun to " shop " in another country. I also got the

tapes which were nice.

Thanks again for the e-mails. I got the shark book today at the library as

well as the chemotherapy book by Moss.

Take care.

Bright blessings,

Diane

Diane, thanks for the message. You are so fortunate to have discovered the

breast cancer in its early stages - the doors are wide open for you to use

only alternative methods if you so choose. Another great book - " Keep Your

Breasts " - is written by a woman who used exercise, diet and juicing, and

some other things to cure the cancer. Although there is not much science

here, it is a very inspirational book, something we can all use when faced

with a situation such as this. Would suggest that you do a complete body

cleanse at your earliest opportunity. When I was diagnosed (with a needle

biopsy) I panicked and nearly did the surgery. I was diagnosed on a

Tuesday, did the pre-surgery workup at the hospital on that Thursday, and

scheduled the surgery for the following Tuesday. That's how quickly the

surgeon wanted to remove a mass the size of a lemon from my breast to get

rid of a cancerous lump the size of a pea! I asked the surgeon if there was

any alternative, since she told me I would also have to have several lymph

nodes removed, undergo radiation treatments and possibly chemo. I was told

that there were no alternatives! This was at Columbia Presbyterian Medical

Center in New York City, touted to be one of the best centers in the

country. Between then and the time of surgery, I started talking to people.

I already knew about Dr. through my spiritual advisor (he was having

health problems at the time) so I had some knowledge of alternative

therapies. I immedately did a thorough body cleanse, did the parasite

cleanse after that, and soon thereafter found an alternative doctor to do

the blood tests and follow my progress. I used a " shotgun " approach since I

didn't know what would work for me, using many different things in the first

year and then tailoring my regimen over time. Point is, you must clean up

the environment that allowed the cancer to grow in the first place. Hope

this helps. Kathy.

Hi Kathy,

I'm a little confused here. What do you mean by a total body cleanse? I

started one put out by Nature's Secret, but got tired and weak after a few

weeks and stopped it. I also have been using a pendulum to " test " things,

which works for me. Yeah. My lump is smaller than a lemon by a little,

but there are two little tiny pea masses under it which are malignant. My

story is similar to yours, but I didn't get to the presurgery workup stage.

I just started reading " The Creation of Health " by Caroline Myss.

Fascinating book, and it describes a holistic approach. Her first story

was about a young gal who had breast cancer, who only used alternative

therapy, and ended up dieing after two years as she was terrified of chemo

and surgery, which may have helped her. She cut herself completely off

from the allopathic medical community. I like the idea of a holistic

approach and will listen to Bill Moyers Mind, Body tapes on my drive to

Colorado. There are some folks who do traditional therapy that are just

fine as well as the ones who do alternative. It seems like a blend would

be good. Or at least to have the choices presented. I think really we

know exactly what we need if we go with our feelings on things. I know I

start feeling worse when I even think of going and being poked and prodded,

and it doesn't have anything to do with fear. It has to do with someone

insisting that I do what they say, just because they say it. I work better

when I have options, so am looking forward to seeing the doc in Colorado.

Kinda windy here today. Have a nice weekend. I was 42 when I was

diagnosed and am 43 now. May I ask how old you are? I'm only curious as

the docs have made a big deal out of my age, and feel radical therapies are

the only options. For some reason that doesn't make sense to me??? I

understand the hormonal thing, but one of them told me they do more radical

things with younger women to give them a better chance of surviving. I

also don't want to be labeled a survivor of anything, and find it

interesting that so much emphasis is put on " surviving " cancer. Do we have

cold survivors? Or measles survivors? Kinda like being in recovery from

an addiction. What a label! At one point are we just people without the

emotional labels? I think the cancer industry actually plays into the

labels a lot. Guess I best feed my horses and run the dogs.

Thanks again for all the info. I value your opinion.

Blessings,

Diane

I believe the schedule now stands as: Greeley, CO 2:00pm at the Best

Western (R?) (will check on that) and in Denver, CO 7:30 pm at the Red Lion

Hotel(former/old Holiday Inn). If there are any changes I can let you know.

Hope you are able to get there to hear Dr. Hsia.

Did you get the mail yet? Let me know when you do.

Thanks. H.

maybe another 3:00pm session?, Sept 18, Rochester, MN, 2pm and Minneapolis,

I will do another post after I verify all places and times. These were

all just changed from the 23-25th back a week.

Diane, Hi and thanks for the message. By whole body cleanse I simply mean

finding a product, there are several good ones out there, that you take for

from three to seven days along with a restricted diet. The cleanse I first

did was made from, I believe, elderberry (I will look up the exact product

if you care to know). Actually the cleanse had three elements - one was

elderberry juice, one was a cleansing tea, and the third a pill for bulk I

believe. It was a seven day cleanse, eating only certain foods (I never

felt weak or hungry) and then slowly introducing other foods after the

cleanse. Also, it is desirable to do a parasite cleanse (I use Hulda

's methods) and a bowel cleanse. After these two, you can do a kidney

cleanse and then a liver cleanse (I use Dr. for these also). By the

time you are done, many years of accumulated toxins and parasites have been

removed from your body which enables the body to kill the cancer cells,

which is what a healthy body does naturally, instead of constantly battling

the toxins and parasites.

I agree with you that you have to use your instincts as to what methods to

use. The allopathic approach just didn't feel right to me. As soon as I

started the alternative program it " felt " right, you know? Also, there is

just too much literature out there convincing me that the allopathic medical

community doesn't have a clue as to the why and how of breast cancer, only

how to remove the offending tissue. When your body is at its weakest point,

when you have a cancer that has grown because your immune system cannot

control it, radiation and chemotherapy is introduced into the system to

further weaken the body. Makes no sense whatsoever to me. Our bodies have

cancer cells in them all of the time, and a healthy immune system simply

destroys them in due course. Makes perfect sense to build up the immune

system, not destroy it. If I thought that surgery was safe, I would have

the lump removed to reduce the burden of the mass. As it is, surgery can

spread the cancer. Often after surgery a cancerous mass grows right at the

surgical site or metastisis occurs because the " envelope " that surrounds the

cancer is opened up and and millions of cancer cells are released into other

areas of the body.

In retrospect, it would have been far easier to have had the surgery, but at

what cosst to my future health? The alternative approaches are hard work,

they take time and commitment. You have to totally change your life style.

If you don't, it probably will not work. And you can't do it for a while,

and then go back to your former habits. It is a lifetime commitment, which

can cure cancer and which will make you a healthier person in the long run.

I know women who did the surgery and it worked fine for them. I also know

that radiation and chemotherapy have killed more women cured them. The

allopathic community is just starting to use only surgery without the rest.

Indeed, the allopathic community is also starting to use only alternative

methods, and that is in the large teaching hospitals.

I say, " go with your gut " . Some people are just not able to grasp the

alternative approach and they would be better off using the allopathic

techniques since you cannot just do nothing.

I am 48 years old, was diagnosed at 44 years. I went into perimenopause at

about the same time as the cancer was diagnosed, so that was good news.

There are also some very good herbal remedies out there - Essiac is one of

them, and Chinese medicinal herbs are also very good. I use the Essiac.

You have horses? I am so jealous!!!!!.

May the Blessings Be. Kathy.

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for all the info. I ordered the Breast Book off amazon and also the

Wise Woman Breast Book. If it's not too much trouble I would like the

cleanse info. I'll have to see about getting Dr. 's book somewhere

else. Amazon had it on back order for 5 weeks or so.

I agree with the alternative approach, but it's all second nature for me

now. Well what I'm doing anyway. Totally vegetarian, no refined sugar, no

alcohol, tobacco, or caffeine. I love doing fresh juices and

experimenting, and absolutely love the way I feel. Lots of energy and

vitality.

Not sure what you meant about perimenopause being good??? Actually the

oncologist did say something about being premenopausal was the reason I

would need chemo. Must be the hormones or something? I also agree on the

cutting thing and that it can spread cancer cells, or that does appear to

be what happens sometimes.

Yeah I have four horses who are very life giving for me and help keep me in

the conversation and laughing. You're welcome to come ride them anytime!

:>)

Had a wonderful visit with my spiritual guide lastnight and this evening

via the phone. She pointed out some words I was even using which were

negative, which was interesting. Can't wait to get moved to Colorado so I

have access to more supports, although they say things many times are right

under your nose, and " show up " once you stop looking. I feel centered and

balanced spiritually, emotionally, and mentally, as well as physically, so

that's nice.

Thanks again for all the info. Nice to tap into your expertise, so I'm not

wading through this all alone. I have friends who are great support, but

it's a bit different then someone who is actually going through it. I also

have my animals, and often wonder if they ever tire of me being

philosophical with them and analyzing everything.

Blessed Be,

Diane

Dr Hsia is a nutrition scientist who spoke in April to the American Association

of Cancer Research Research to around 2500 of the nation's top oncologists about

his research breakthrough with SelGuard. SelGuard is a natural product that has

gone through the proprietary technology that make it non-toxic. Clinical studies

have shown that it suppressed cancer cells while not harming good ones.

Dr. Hsia will be speaking about his cancer research in Greeley,CO-2:00pm at

the Best Western Ramkota Sept. 16

Denver, CO-7:30pm at the Red Lion(former Holiday Inn) Sept 16

Clear Lake,IA 7:00pm at the Best Western Lodge Sept 17

Rochester, MN 2:00pm at the Koehler Grand Hotel Sept 18

Minneapolis, MN 7:30pm at the Radisson Hotel Sept 18.

If you have any more questions email me and I will try to answer. If you

or anyone ends up going, the receptionist who gave me the accurate dates, said

to mention how you found out about the meetings so they can track where the

contacts are from. Tell them H. from RC, WI . The referral no is

#31257. Thanks.

I have been to hear Dr Hsia four times and I learn something new each

time. I have had the opportunity to spend time with him. He may well be one of

the top nutrition scientists out there. He tries to spend time with as many

people as he can after the presentation and has a real compassion for peoples

health needs.

The meetings are free.

H.

Diane, thanks for the msg. Can't find the info on the cleanse product I

used here at home. I'll have to get the name next time I'm in the health

food store - sorry.

Perimenopausal was good because it meant that I had less estrogen in my

system to encourage the cancer growth.

Be careful, I might take you up on the horse back riding!

Would you mind telling me your spiritual path? Just curious, since mine is

such a big part of my life and my journey.

Good talking with you - have wonderful dreams. Kathy.

Hi Kathy,

Just checked my e-mail before heading off to my tubby. Thanks for taking

the time to get the cleanse info next time you are at the health food store.

My spiritual path has been interesting, and is my life. I was raised

traditional hodge podge from Lutheran, to Church of Christ, and did the

charismatic movement in the 70's. I always felt each step of the way that

something was lacking, and got turned off by the fear stuff. I found a new

thought church last year, and now practice Science of Mind, which is

similar to Unity if you are familiar with that. It basically teaches a God

of love, and I felt like I had finally come home when I entered the church

for the first time. The church by the way is 800 miles away and there

isn't one in the state of Montana, so I get weekly taped services. Works

until I get moved. I guess I've been practicing metaphysics for some time

and just didn't realize it. I honor all sources, all religions, and

respect everyones right to worship however they choose or not. I love the

no fear thing, and the church radiated love and still does, and all the

people were smiling and glowing. They teach only love. Fits for me. How

about you and your spiritual path?

Hey and the horse riding offer holds. I had a friend from Syracuse come

for a visit in Feb. who I met on the net. We had fun. I had to drive 300

miles to the airport to pick her up. She was amazed at all the open

spaces, and came with her 9 year old son who has cerebral palsy. We

interacted like sisters. The airport would be closer once I get moved to

Colorado. :>)

Thanks for explaining the peri-menopause. I thought it had something to do

with estrogen. If I'm like my mom I won't even start anything until I hit

the double nickel, which is fine.

Nice visiting with you as well. Maybe we could connect via phone at some

point if you would like? Seems like I'm starting what you've been doing

for a few years.

Peaceful dreams and blessings,

Diane

Diane, what is a " tubby " , pray tell? (See your msg. to me)

On the spiritual side, my path also teaches that love is all - it is called

Eckankar and is the " Ancient Science of Soul Travel " or " The Religion of the

Light and Sound of God " . Have you heard of it? I am not familiar with

Science of the Mind, but do know what Lutheran is. I was raised Catholic

(about the closest to Lutheran you can get), but have been an Eckist for

nearly five years. Eckankar did for me what Science of the Mind did for

you - I felt at home from day one. " Eckists " believe that they can

communicate with God on a daily basis by seeing God's light and hearing

God's voice. The light is very intense, like a huge spotlight in your

" spiritual eye " ; the voice is always different, sometimes the single note of

a flute, sometimes the sound of the ocean (when no ocean is near), etc.

Through practicing spiritual exercises, one is slowly able to see and hear

these aspects of God and travel to other dimensions in the universes of God.

It's very exciting and fills you with so much love you want to burst (can

you tell I'm unthusiastic?). Mainly, I've grown so much as soul since

studying this path that I feel like an entirely different person. Works for

me!

Love to speak by phone sometime. Send me your private e-mail address and

we'll exchange numbers.

Blessings Be, Kathy.

Hi Kathy,

How funny. A tubby is a bathtub! :>)

I've never heard of the Eckist religion. Sounds fascinating.

Private e-mail sent.

  • 2 weeks later...

jean ann.....im just a prostate cancer survivor but i remember being in the

new britain ct community hospital waiting to give one of my three pints of

blood for the operation and a beautiful young woman came in with two little

bitty 4 and 5 year old girls. she was wearing a baseball cap and sat them

down on the couch near me and said, i have to go to the clinic so you girls

sit here and read your comic books and this nice man will talk to you. she

then walked through the side door to the womans cancer clinic. the strength

of women has impressed me and i always remember that when talking with a

woman with breast cancer or the family. god loves you and will protect you.
