Guest guest
Wow, we're pretty close to each other. I've been going to inf. disease at stony brook. thats where Neuro is, opthalmology, ortho. everyone off Belle Meade in Setauket. How about you ? Dr. put him on zythromax, minicyclin and mepron. By the 5th day he was in so much pain he was writhing and his shortness of breath was worsening and he could no longer walk. Our C.T. Dr. told us to go to the E.R. to be evaluated for ascending neuropathy. He was admitted for 3 days and they did more tests and decided they didn't know what as wrong but it wasn't Lyme. After he returned home our C.T. Dr. told us to resume his meds. We couldn't. It was too scary and the Dr.s at the hospital were not fans of our C.T. Dr. besides we weren't able to see our C.T. Dr. again for months. We decided to pursue another Dr. this one will see us on a more regular basis and is starting my son off more slowly. There is just so much uncertainty with this disease and the controversy surrounding it has been a battle as I'm sure many of you can relate to. While in the hospital the Dr.s were so opposed to our choice to treat that I was growing worried. Now back at home and continuing with treatment in spite of them it is scary, I know that this is the right decision but walking it out is tough. > > I understand this could be a long ride but I am anxious to see some lifting of the painful symptoms. Guest guest
Dr. , I am seeing a regular MD (not a uro, not and endo) and I need to see you or someone closer to me (I live in the Indy area) who is really competent and more knowledgeable than my MD. He's a good guy, but completely unable to do anything to get to my problems other than prescribe T Enan injections. He doesn't test for anything other than Total T and Free T. I started with 100mg/week. I gained 9 pounds in three days; from 138 to 147 (I'm 5'8 " ) which made my breathing somewhat labored. I get sweaty palms as well. I went and saw him and he said to stop or extend it to once every two weeks. I have changed the dosage (going down to as low as 25 and the frequency to 2 weeks). The side effects are minimal at 25, but I hardly see any of the benefits. I read that low E2 causes joint pain. I suffer from chronic back pain (I need Norco to deal with it) and noticed that the T helped my pain a few times - sometimes it didn't help at all. When I read that low E2 causes joint pain, I decided (two weeks ago) to give myself a 100mg shot. The low back pain went away. However, the side efects were really strong. I gained about 6 pounds and the breathing was definitely labored. After about 4-5 days post shot the side effects got better and the back pain was almost zero. At about 12 days post shot, the side effects kicked in again (breathing, sweaty palms, weight up a few pounds). At about 14-15 days post-shot (I was waiting to see if the weight and breathing would improve before injecting any more), the side effects went aaway (I lost 5 pounds), but the back pain came back and the I crashed - felt like crud, real moody, brian fog, fatigue. So... if I'm right, it looks like the T (and ergo the elevated E2) help my back pain (which is a biggie as the pain is about a 7 on the Pain Scale). If I come and see you, can you prescribe a treatment that would keep my T at the proper levels, and help my back pain without the side effects - or can I not have both (good T and little or no back pain)? I have no insurance. Any idea, even a ballpark estimate, on how much the labs you would order will cost? Thanks so much... I really need some help..... Guest guest
Okay. Then you didn't apply enough Androgel. The problem in your case is you would look like a glazed donut by the time you got enough on (very poor absorber). If you get the chance, check your Free T3 thyroid level. Be well! Guest guest
Dr J Thank you as always for your informative and well detailed response. By measuring it at the trough you are really not seeing how high how it would peak and there for could be missing valuable information. I have no insurance, so before I pay to see Dr. Crisler I need to get an idea what the blood tests costs. What good is it to pay Dr. Crisler only to not have the $$ for the blood tests. Does anyone have any idea what the tests cost - even a ballpark price? He does alot of testing that is not covered by insurance to look for the root cause and is very knowledgable about TRT. The only concern that I heard is that he loves to push boat load of supplements. Many Dr's are better speakers and educators then actually practioners. Dr J is good at both and I like the fact that he does not drive supplements down your throat as well which many antiaging drs do. cyergenic is the worst.. > > > > > > How long after application were labs drawn? > > > > > > > > > > > > Be well! > > > > > > Regards, > > > > > > > > > Crisler, DO > > > > > > Anti-Aging Medicine > > > > > > The information contained in this message is intended only for the > > personal > > > and confidential use of the recipient(s) named above, and is protected by > > > state and federal law. Guest guest
HAN, Would it be proper for me to switch from my urologist to Dr. athon ? My only complaint is that my current doctor doesn't test E2. I am only 31 but was diagnosed with Testicular cancer last year. After the orcheictomy I started to have symptoms of low T. My oncologist check my total T which came back at 270 and a month later at 210. She then tried to treat me with Androgel which did not raise my numbers. So she referred me to a urologist who claimed to be the Testosterone Guru for this Hospital downtown which is a good hospital. So basically my concerns are these. 1. Should I be using HCG? My concern is that I am young and will the effects lessen overtime or cause any other problems? 2. Should I be checking my E2 and using an AI? > > > > > > > > How long after application were labs drawn? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Be well! > > > > > > > > Regards, > > > > > > > > > > > > Crisler, DO > > > > > > > > Anti-Aging Medicine > > > > > > > > The information contained in this message is intended only for the > > > personal > > > > and confidential use of the recipient(s) named above, and is protected by > > > > state and federal law. Guest guest
You use dr's like DR J and DR O for second opinons. We always recommend that you have a urologist to make sure the prostate is in working order when on TRT. One Dr should communicate with the other as we like to have lab reports from other dr's to keep us in the loop with what is going on because of the complexity with some of the cases which have mulitple issues that need to be evaluated and treated by different dr's. We have refered people to hemotologist, GI, liver, psychologist, ect to have specailist rule out issues out of our expertise. > > > > > > > > > > How long after application were labs drawn? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Be well! > > > > > > > > > > Regards, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Crisler, DO > > > > > > > > > > Anti-Aging Medicine > > > > > > > > > > The information contained in this message is intended only for the > > > > personal > > > > > and confidential use of the recipient(s) named above, and is protected by > > > > > state and federal law. Guest guest
I seriously doubt there is a " testosterone guru " locally who can hold a candle to Dr. . Yes, IMPO, everyone on TRT should also add in HCG. Be well! Guest guest
Welcome ! See if you can find an advocate to go with you to your meetings. Even if you are one yourself, you are so right that it is so different when it's your own kid!! I turn to blubber when it's my kids vs. when I am at a meeting for someone else's kid. It can be very hard. Roxanna Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again. ( ) New Member Hi all. My name is . I am a single parent of 3 children. My oldest has mood disorder, ADD and OCD. My youngest (7) has classic autism. My middle son (10) was just recently diagnosed with Aspergers. I knew for a long time (since my youngest was diagnosed at 4) that my son was most likely aspergers, but I just never went through the diagnostic process until recently. He has an IEP and is classified as learning disabled. He's done ok thus far. He is one grade behind that he should be, and struggles in school. He was finally invited to his first birthday party about a month ago, but has NO friends. He never gets invited for a play date, and never brings home a phone number from school for someone that wants to hang out with him. He is in a mainstream classroom with pullouts for help. He has severe anxiety (now taking Prozac) as well as migraine headaches. Personally, I am a special education advocate and know ways to help other kids, but it's harder when it is your own kid. My youngest has always been in a self-contained classroom and is unaware yet that he is different. I'm glad this group is here, as I really need some support to find ways to help him. He is overweight, extremely clumsy and socially awkward.
Guest guest
You can contact your local health department and find out where the birth to 3 program is. Then you can apply to get her into that program for help with play skills, language or whatever else is going on. Roxanna Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again. Guest guest
Goodmorning ~ I love your poison4vanity name......that is a good one...... Welcome to the group ! I am so sorry that you have gotten so ill from your implants. Bless your sweet heart. Your body is not likeing the poisen bags in there. Getting them removed, and properly, with the enbloc proceedure, and eating clean live foods and detoxing will help you to heal. First, know that you can regain your health ! The thought of surgery IS scarey, but once you get implants you will definately have several surgeries over your lifetime. That is just how it is......The fact that they advertise them as safe, is criminal.....the fact that they implant them goes against their hippocratic oath to " First Do No Harm " as well as it is false advertising and brainwashing to get people to " think " they need implants to be normal........ or to look their best, or to get that job.......It is totally criminal........Now that we got that out of the way, please focus on your healing.....start eating really clean and live foods. Stay away from processed foods. Anything that is created or manipulated, the body doesnt recognise as something it it programmed to take care of naturally, so it has to work harder to handle it. You need that energy for your healing, not to handle junk. Our bodies are awesome creations and can heal themselves providing it has the right things in it to do so. Our intestines have like an eco system.....and it needs a good mix of organisms to all work in unison. They say that our immune systems are in there. Making and eating a probiotic of some kind would benefit you by leaps and bounds. Personally, I make kefir and drink a glass every day, and more if I am feeling compromised. I have been doing this for 4 years now. I can tell a difference when I dont drink it. There are lots of girls around, and basically you just have to try things, and see what works for you. You can get much better, if not totally healed.... Hugs N Prayers Dede New member Hi everyone, My name is and I'm 39 yrs old. I have been miserable with saline implant since I got them almost 3 years ago. I was online looking for symptoms, surgeons for explantation, and support and came across this group. I health has gone downhill since the implants. I have muscle aching and burning, pain underneath one implant, confusion, memory loss, and a hard time breathing at times. I'm not sure what is associated to the implants and actually there is so much I can't even remember all of my symptoms all the time. I even read that muscle twitching can be associated, and I developed that recently. I am incredibly fatigued. I had a horrible day today, blaming my husband to the point of causing him to have to go the the er with chest pains. I am very scared to go through another surgery. I hate life now. I have a poor 12 yr old that needs me to be healthy so I've been crying all day again. Thanks.
Guest guest
Hi , I am so sorry to hear that you are crying so much...gosh, do I remember days like those! You are not alone...and I'm sad to tell you that I believe the implants are the cause of all these mysterious symptoms. You can read for yourself...our files section and stories peppered throughout our post archives will confirm that you are going through what thousands of other women have gone through: health destruction after receiving implants. Please keep reading our posts as we try to support the women like you who are coming here for answers. I've written two other women today and shared exactly what I want to tell you...that you should seriously consider removing the implants and working toward a health recovery by natural means. It can be done...I've done it!!! Please keep asking questions for help....my suggestion is that you look through the files section and read all the info in the " explant " folder and then start looking for a good explanting surgeon. There are only a few in the country that do it right, and we recommend them over any others, simply because they will not tell you that you are crazy, or that all this is in your head, or that you will look deformed after the implants are removed. All those are lies. These doctors have removed hundreds upon hundreds and thousands of implants CORRECTLY and made the women look beautiful at the same time, without insulting them. They know that implants are making women ill and are compassionate about it. These doctors are: Dr. Huang, Denver CO Dr. Lu Feng, Cleveland OH Dr. Kolb, Atlanta, GA Dr. Ed Melmed, Dallas TX If you can afford to travel or just want to make this explant an easy process, consider going to one of these doctors. IF you can't travel, you will have to start interviewing the doctors in your area to find out if they will indeed do a proper explant, using the en bloc or total capsulectomy techniques. It is SOO important. Please stay close and keep us posted on your progress, or your decision. I know this is so hard. It was the darkest time of my life. But I can tell you that you will survive and you can have a normal life again, possibly, with work in the right direction. Sending hugs, Patty > > Hi everyone, > > My name is and I'm 39 yrs old. Guest guest
Oh, , I am sorry that I missed you, and I see that our Dede has written to you. I love your email too. Honey, you sound just like me regarding the breathing issues, because I developed Asthma, and I had never smoked in my life. The burning is a big issue for most all of us; however, my feet no longer burn. My Tongue has burned ever since the implants were removed, and it is painful. Again, the severe fatigue that we all seem to suffer from is debilitating, and rest is the cure for me. I am so happy that you found this group, because the women are life savers. They have helped me for so many years, and I will be forever grateful for the love and support that they have given me so unselfishly. , I keep telling my that I want my life back, because the plastic surgeon did not clean me out properly. Most all of the women who have been cleaned out properly do get well. Honey, the tears that you are shedding are helpful, because it shows that you are fighting back. I cry over such little things, but my husband gets annoyed with me, and I tell him that it is good to cry. I wanted to write a book called "The Tears Of A Woman", because every time a woman called me she was always crying. Please stay close to us, and we will help you to get through this...sending love and support to you....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`` New member Hi everyone,My name is and I'm 39 yrs old.
